wow thats weird.. i switched this form page to IE and the link magically appeared.. i think my UserContent.css Firefox file blocks AOL ..

EDIT: Thanks a lot!! Lets hope this goes through!

EDIT2: For those whom it may concern, I investigated the UserContent.css file and I took a default set of definitions from http://texturizer.net/firefox/adblock.html .. turns up there are some entries to block AOL Links hehe, I like the CSS header file works well, I've had to "unblock" some of those so I can see some "good ads" like on eBay, and Sears website uses the standard ad-size images for its general website..

interesting.. and thanks, just thought I would post something interesting.

You're paying $5 mo? I've been on AOL longer and paying more then that now. I'm gonna call and complain...🙂

Boy. I didn't think anyone on anandtech used aol! lol

think this would work on 2 credit cards at the same address if I put Apt A on one? We have a downstairs apt that I could use...

Do you actually have to install that nasty AOL software and use it? Can you just sign up and never install it and cancel it? What's the number you call to cancel? I know they like to hide that number.

As long as I don't have to install AOLvirus on my computer I'm in.

Edit: So, thanks OP and thanks gschock888. I'm so glad I'm addicted to ATHD and I check in as often as possible! 😀

I've thought of one thing: do you think that the gift certificate, if unused, will die when you cancel your AOL account? Or do you think it will remain valid until you use it?
