If it is out of stock, just save link and check every once in a while (new stock seems to show up every few weeks (it's been every few days recently) or so): http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/expired-deals/1292249/ and http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/1293483/

Also, if you don't already have a BestBuy.com account, I'd recommend setting it up in advance so you can check out quickly if it shows up in stock again.

** Still may be in stock for in store purchase **

Just so I understand what it is, because I can launch netflix or youtube from my PS3, I wouldn't get any real benefit from this device, right?

Craig if you can play a video on your chrome browser, you will be able to play it on your TV. What ever it is. This could be HBO GO, Hulu (regular), Amazon, or a bunch of other services.

From your PC at least, but since you can't do this from your phone it makes it less useful.

True and just reading the review again a few new comments have popped up with users saying the video streaming from a Chrome Tab is kinda sluggish.

Either way if it is in stock and does have the Netflix coupon in store I'll pick it up for a net cost of $11.

Meant to look this up, but in case anyone else has already does this have any value as a WMC extended?

Picked mine, up yesterday. Netflix code printed out on my receipt and was also emailed to me a few minutes after I checked out.
Got home and applied the promo code to my Netflix account $23.96 or so in credit.

Didn't get much chance to play with the device its self.. My laptop is a slow PoS and really couldn't handle the tab streaming. I tried it from my WIRED desktop and couldn't get it to see the ChromeCast. Supposedly WIRED works but I need to disable the IGMP proxy on my tomato router. I couldn't find this easily. I'll try it again tonight/this weekend.

In stock for shipping right now.

Tech Bargains has it listed on their website, so will probably sell out fast again.

(this is a total guess, but Best Buy may be using this as a sort of loss leader to draw attention to their website and customers into their stores as they appear to have successfully turned company around, so wouldn't be surprised if they get more allotments in future even if it sells out now again)

Saw mention on Tech Bargains so I assume it will sell out again quickly.

Got one just a minute ago. Don't care how long it takes to ship chromecast as long as I get the netflix code which it says I will any minute now.

Netflix Chat confirmed that the promo code can also be used for their $7.99 / month 1 dvd out at a time service.

I would hope this is simply a $23.97 Netflix credit that can be applied to any service they offer (e. g. their $10 / month 1 blu ray at a time subscription, but still responsible for difference of $2 / month), but Netflix chat did not confirm that.

As long as you have good Wi-Fi signal I've been playing 720p no problem. You can also bump it down to 480p if it is slow.

Wired supposedly works if you can can multicast working between wired and wireless, I have been less than successful in that at this point.
