To find the coupons check out the Mystic man post at *Catwallet. his post has been updated. There are a lot of stores that are not accepting the printed coupon though.
 
this is just a thought...if you have a coupon code buy the drive on line......then go to a B&M buy another drive without a coupon..you can hunt for the serial ya want........install the drive you just bought....wait for the drive you bought on-line to be delivered.......return it to a B&M
 
Thanks MysticMan1. I always wondered when was a good time to upgrade my burner. I guess when a replacement is 300% faster at 20% of the price is a good time! 😀
 
Well, I can see why they're selling these things cheap now. Just noticed a plextor 40x12x40 oem for $135.00 free shipping at Newegg.

Since, I have a 24x burner, I'll get the 40 someday.

yeah, send a copy of the receipt, the cut out upc, and the rebate card in an envelope, and just regular mail.

I always make a copy of my upc and the rebate card, cuz sometimes they claim to lose stuff....


 
Ordered mine yesterday and got it today about 12:30. [sarcasm] Great packing job Staples [/sarcasm] one box flopping around in another box. Got the Lite On! Burns fast but the tray seems a little wobbly.

*edit* Oh yeah and my $.16 paper clips that I used to get the order over $100 for the coupons are being delivered seperately. They are going to spend more on gas do deliver than they cost. 😎
 
For those who want to purchase 32x drive at a Staples store (if they are still in stock) there are some new printable email coupon out today, ($15/$100, $30/$150 and $40/ $200) and can be found at that place that makes your Wallet Fat. 😛
 
The Santa Ana (Tustin), CA Staples store has several of them in stock (I think around 6). I actually ordered it online a few hours though before this, and I didn't bring a good coupon so I didn't want to buy one... they were the Lite-On/Verbatim ones also. 🙁 Manager gave me some hassle in using a $30 of $150 coupon (bought Maxtor HDD & Altec Lansing Speakers) and was saying it was his discretion. I kept arguing and he went back to talk to another manager, and came back telling the cashier to give it to me. 😛 Ha!

I'm still waiting for confirmation on my online CDR order that shoud lcome any hours now though. 🙁
 
I just picked up one from my local staples, it's a light-on. The model # on the drive is LTR-32123S. I also followed a link from this anand thread which had a link to fat wallet, which has links to printable coupons. The cashier took my coupon no problem. I used the coupon with a barcode (expires 5/31) so she just scanned it.


Also of note I saw a monitor arm for $4 after instant rebate, but it is marked as $60 on the online store. holds 50lbs and has a keyboard holder. I'm going to go back and get that tomorrow.
 
woohoo...just got off the phone with a csr, drive is being delivered tomorrow, well something is...its that or the torchiere lamp or both!
 
36 hours after placing the order, I FINALLY get an email saying its out of stock. This is after calling them twice for confirmation and having them say 'no problem -you'll get the confirmation". So now I'm screwed!

They admit they made a mistake and insist there's nothing they can do for me...
 
You can chat with a CSR online realtime from the Staples website. I talked with "Lisa" a couple of hours ago about my online order from Sunday evening not showing up yet. She said it would be delivered 5/22 and that they were working on the order tracking part of the site.

Among other things that order has one of the burners in it. The Colonial Heights, VA Staples did not have any in-store this morning (had sold the last 2 just before I got there.) When I got home decided to order another one online for delivery to my M-I-L's place and it went right into the cart. Unfortunately, while dicking around trying to fill out the order to over $150 so I could use the $30 off code instead of a mere $20 off, the d***ed thing sold out on me! Hoist by me own greed again! 😉

Hoping either the store or online gets some more in; building a system for each of 2 daughters and need second one for that...
 
Grrrrr... got an e-mail today saying they don't have the UPC code I sent them and so my rebate is invalid. How the heck am I supposed to get another original? Guess this deal just turned cold for me.
