This won't really help the CPU to much it may a little bit by reducing ambient case temps a bit and NO Rev 2's do not fit 9600 series cards according to the PDF right in the link man...

Sweet deal,
I jumped on this. I picked up the VGA Cooler, plus a few other things I needed to build an extra system (for Linux?).

I'm looking forward to seeing a drop in my system temp with the outside exhaust for my 9800 pro.
It gets really hot when I game. I don't help things by having my case inside of a desk that is closed in the back, but hopefully this helps to counteract that.

I am another one of the people who just barely bought one of these at full price. It's really ironic too since I was waiting forever for someone to put it on sale... The day after I bought it this thread come out, lol.

I just ordered a Dell 8300 with a ATI 9800 Pro in it, so this will work out well for that. I heard these 9800 Pro's run a little warm, so probably a good idea. I'm going from a Athlon XP 2500 w. a ti4200 128mb card to a P4 3.0 HT with a 9800Pro, so should help out some with UT 2004 and Doom3 when it arrives. Thanks for the heads up on the deal!

Well wanted to use on my 9600 Pro, and according to the SVC page it fits. According to the docs it doesn't. Now I'm holding forever to get a rep to cancel my order.

Does anyone have any before/after numbers on a 9800?
Please feel free to flame my a$5 if this is the wrong place to ask.

I just noticed that there are some web reviews for a VGA Silencer Rev 3 that will finally fit the 9600 series.

That explains why they are selling the Rev 2 so cheap. There were great sales on Revision 1 when they released Rev2.

I also noticed that they are coming out with a Silencer XT that will fit the 9800xt.

sigh, I ordered one. I have never bothered to OC my 9700pro. I guess this will give me an excuse.

I ordered mine yesterday and got it today, fast! Got here the same time as my new 9800 pro, what timing.

Hmmm, if I buy this, then I'll have an excuse to buy a 9800pro instead of a 9600xt....

Good deal, but shipping still brings it to $15 for me.

Yeah, they ship fast. I ordered mine Thursday afternoon and it arrived Saturday morning via USPS Priority (about $5). Very nice.

Same here! :)

Installed on my 9800Pro today. No difference in noise (as the system fan is louder anyway). The system temperatures did lower by about 2C however...so it must be working. Also, it's SO Much bigger than the stock HS/Fan......it's a giant compared to the little on from ATI! :)
