[edit: Not that hot anymore. Amazon sure changes its prices frequently!. [/b]

Here is the real Amazon case deal: Really sweet Antec mini [tower] case and 300W "Smartpower" PS for $54 now. The deal maker is the temporary free shipping. NewEgg has the same case for $60 plus $15 shipping.

Antec SLK2600AMB @ Amazon. Note that even though Amazon lists it as "SLK2600AMG," it really is a SLK2600AMB. The color is metallic bronze.

Here is the manufacturer's link: Antec

Here are PICTURES of the case at NewEgg.

I bought this case thru directron.com for about $100.00 (I substituted the 430W Antec trupower suppy though...) Neat case!

I have two of these. Very nice, excellent deal for the money especially considering the free shipping and top notch PS included. Also, has front side USB which makes it so much easier. Hmm, I am gonna order another one.

I recently bought a Linkworld 312B Mini ATX case w/ front USB opening (no PS) from dealsonic.com for $9.00 plus shipping. $9! THAT's what I call a deal! It even has a removable mobo tray.

What kind of Fan works okay with this ?

I think it does not come with a fan.... at Amazon

The case has a plastic fan bracket that accepts 80x25mm units in front and traditional mounting holes for on 80mm fan in back. The SL300 power supply has a single 80mm exhaust fan too.

I think it's safe to assume that the case will be shipped the way Antec packaged it, which is seen clearly in the NewEgg pictures in the original post. And you're right--no case fan.

For those of you who want to go big--NewEgg and Directron (another cool place to buy cases) has the Antec SLK3700. That case comes with a 120mm rear fan and you can mount a 120mm fan in front too!! I almost got the SLK3700, but I needed a smaller case.

i picked one up on clearance from bestbuy for $59. awesome case--built a computer for my brother and it rocks. great no screw drive rail system, lots of space for hard drives, and a decent Antec 300W PSU inside. good deal.

Why are you calling this a "mini ATX" case? Looks like a mid tower?
Here is how the Antec site (linked in OP) describes the case: "The SLK2600AMB Super Mini Tower, part of Antec?s all new Solution Series of cases, offers a large 8-drive capacity in a convenient Mini Tower form factor." The case is only 16.5" tall. Many mid-towers are >18". Maybe you are thinking of "micro-ATX?"

Yodayoda: I didn't know BestBuy sold nice cases. In fact, I don't recall ever seeing a case at BB! Gotta look closer next time.

Cases are back where they sell memory and stuff. Sometimes hidden behind the counter.

You might be able to call this a "mini tower" as nothing realy defines tower specs. Sure does not look "mini" though.

But it is not "mini ATX" which is an ATX form factor. Mini ATX is between ATX and Micro ATX in size. According to Antec tHis case supports a full size 12"(W)x9.6"(L) mother board :

Intel has also specified a "Mini ATX" motherboard size, which is slightly smaller than the full-sized ATX specification. These boards use the same ATX form factor power supplies and cases. The main difference is that full ATX motherboards have a maximum size of 12"x9.6", and Mini ATX boards have maximum dimensions of 11.2"x8.2".

microATX defines as part of its standard, maximum motherboard dimensions of 9.6"x9.6".

Yeah, amazon has some nice deals on cases as shipping is free. Too bad there aren't any active coupons at present (and even if there were, you wouldnt' see em here 🙂). I believe the deal where you get $30 towards your next purchase when you sign up for the amazon visa card has also ended or will be ending soon. I haven't used my $30 yet, maybe I will for this case. Nice deal op.

Case arrived today via FedEx--only 7 days after I ordered it with the free Super Saver shipping! The color is pewter/dark-greyish, definitely not "bronze" nor black. Time to transplant the innards from my old case to the Antec . . .

Great deal on a good case and a great PSU. I'll probably end up buying another Antec PSU (400 or higher) if they ever get a hot deal and put this one on the shelf as a backup.

I placed my order at 3:55EST yesterday afternoon.

I chose the free shipping option (SuperSaver).

At 12:10PM my case arrived today.

Something's wrong here....

I punched the tracking number in and it originated in Harrisburg PA, and was shipped via UPS Ground.

What's even funnier is that my credit card hasn't been charged and Amazon's site still has them processing my order.

Wierd...

Is anyone with a Radeon 9x00 card using this? Does the storage thing on the back of the case block the D-sub VGA connector?
