I ordered at like, 10 last night and got the same generic e-mail confirmation this morning. My friend called me at 9:30AM (damn him for waking me up D=) and told me they called him telling him about the price error and such. They didn't call me for some reason... Anyway, I called them and asked if there was a price error which they confirmed. So I just asked them to cancel and they seemed pretty nice about it.

Still a very good deal for a 3000+ 939, considering how much newegg price gouges for it.

They changed my order

What I would like to know is if this is actually the following then:

BA20768 -BA20678 - - 1 (*Free T-shirt w/Purchase While Supplies Last!)
AMD ATHLON 64 3000+ RETAIL BOXED 64-BIT SOCKET 939 W/COOLING FAN (3 YEARS WARRANTY)**FREE AMD T-SHIRT**; NO EXTRA COOLING FAN; NO THERMAL COMPOUND

Because right now no-one has the retail version of this CPU and this price is better then anyone elses OEM version of this CPU.

Yes, the retails are coming out, albeit slowly. Being $40 cheaper than newegg for a retail box one, this is actually a pretty decent deal.

its time retailers should start honoring these things. its not like we hacked the page and made it a 3500+. they should learn to not make mistakes, or at least take responsibility.

at least give a coupon out to people who ordered.

newegg is nice about typos.

FYI if you really think its a typo, dont post it here. Keep it on the DL. Might work then :)

They canceled my order for me. Oh well. I was very doubtful it was going to pass anyways

I have still not received any calls and there is nothing on their site regarding typos in their terms and conditions. I have printed and email order confirmations stating a 3500+ along with the generic approved email on the order. So far no mention was made of the product change except on the order page itself. I'm going to stick with this one a little longer and dispute on the credit card if a 3000+ arrives prior to any notification of change.

Okay, so I was the one that posted this. I WANTED to keep this to myself, just in case they might honor the typo for me. BUT, how could I not pass this along to y'all after all the great deals you have posted that I have taken advantage of.

BTW.....I got the call too and switched to the 3000+. It's still a good deal.

So you confirmed that the order's really for a retail 3000+? 90nm?

Thanks for sharing. It was definitely worth a shot.

I'm pretty sure they will place it on hold. They know exactly all the orders from the typo. When I asked, they said they had a list of over 300 orders they had to personally call and confirm/cancel. There's a good chance that not all of them will be called today.

If your call does not cometoday , it definitely will come tomorrow. Even they can not reach you by phone, they already change your order to 3000+, and they will not ship it out until catch you by phone or email.

So, do not play with yourself now, just cancel it or receive the 3000+ one.
