OMG... they just cancelled my order without my approval/notice... and what's worst... this is what it says on my order status..

10/27:Your Credit Card information has been changed per your request.
10/26:Your order has been verified, we are processing it at this time. Thank you for shopping with us.

"per your request"... that's bull

You know guys, this is almost like a bait-and-switch. Because out of the hundreds of orders, there are gonna be some people that gonna keep the 3000+. If there were 500 orders (just saying) and only 2% kept it, that is 10 orders they would have had otherwise. Grrrrr...

Just a heads up, I have a 3000+ 90nm that does 2.4 ghz on stock Vcore with Zalman 7000 air without breaking a sweat. MSI Neo2 Plat. I'm sure I can do 2.5 with it when the new RAM/PSU arrives.

In the process of building an identical rig.

This 3000+ 90nm chip is the 2.4C of A64's.

$168 is a good deal for this.

You are completely right on this. We should try to get a class action lawsuit against online companies that have a record of doing this. I don't think the university lawyers at my school would deal with this and I don't know what kind of law my cousin in law practices but I doubt he would want to do this. Nevertheless, I'm going to look into this.

Well price on thier site is now $150 for this. It also still says 3400 with shirt and all that. I do agree that they should honor thier mistake, but still real good price on even a 3000 + socket 939 ;)

...

every time someone gets "screwed" on a deal they knew damn good and well was a price mistake, they say they need a class action lawsuit.

Jesus.

The only people that get rich on class action suits are the lawyers. Trust me on this one.

Get over it, and channel that aggression into something positive. Society is litigious enough as it is.
