Let see... if they process your order and sent to warehouse for shipping... wouldn't the guys pack 3500+ for u and not the wrong 3000+???

No, the order status was also "updated" to be a 3000+. The emailed invoice still said 3500+ but I doubt they'll care.

My confirmation email stated that the order was for a 3500+, but if I check the status of my order online at their website, it's now a 3000+.

My credit card has been charged. If I do not receive an AMD 64 3500+ cpu I will not be a happy camper.

Better start canceling, fellahs. Seems like they will send out 3000+ 90nm chips. They are good overclockers, though.

What are my rights as a consumer when I paid for an advertised product then they send me a different product? Isn't that illegal?

If they ship the 3000+ you can call your credit card company and tell them not to honor the transaction. You should have an invoice that states 3500.

EDIT: OMG!!! I guarantee that they are not allowed to go in and change the invoice after the order was placed!!! This has got to be illegal.

I just spoke to a representative on the phone (nice lady) and this is definitely a mistake by the web master, so she canceled my order at my request.

Based on other sites info I am going to guesstimate that this chip is the following: ADA3500AWBOX

MWAVE's BA20768
AMD ATHLON 64 3500+ 512K CACHE 64-BIT 939PIN RETAIL

Which means it is 130nMeter chip. The 90nM version of this chip runs a bit faster(1-7%) and 1-5 celsius cooler the the 130nM version. Also, most people can only overclock from 2.2 to 2.3-2.4. The 90nM version of both the 3000+ and the 3500+ can go to 2.6 with little effort according to AnandTech's review. This is FX-55 speeds ($800+).

However, compared to other vendors selling this same chip you are saving around $100 or 35%. On pricewatch only one vendor is listed as selling the 90nm version of the 3500+ for $315.

I opted to cancel my order.

Well they were nice enough to call me and tell me, and ask if I wanted to cancel, which I did.

Well, they just called me and told me they had a pricing error and I had a choice to cancel or receive a 3000+. I cancelled.

Same.
She asked if I had meant to order a 3000+. I told her that we had already figured out the typo, and I had actually ordered a 3500+. She asked if I wanted to cancel or order the 3000+. I chose to cancel, She apologized and said goodbye. As long as there is no delay in taking the charge off my card, I can't really complain.

Honestly, is my name really that hard to pronounce? It's three freaking letters and I can only remember one person knowing how to pronounce it (An old boss who had a cousin with the same name or something).
