I gotta say, this one is a little iffy. These rebates have the same promotion and "mail by" dates. Previous dual rebates from Staples/Maxtor have had different "mail by" dates. I've gotten dual rebates before on the 80 gig 8 meg cache drive as well as a 60 gig 2 meg cache drive from Staples (sending a copy of the UPC to the Staples rebate).

With that said, it's worth a try.

Not to mention that if you go to Ebates first, you get an extra 2% back, and you can manually enter that $20 off $100 coupon code (don't you just have that COUPONCRAZE going?!)...and if you use a credit card registered with UPromise, well, there's a little more back in your pocket.

FYI: RebatesHQ has the same rebate offer number 03-57316 at their web site, so don't go filling out the one at Staples and the one at RebatesHQ. Use the Maxtor MIR going to Dept. 03-57312.

Quick and fairly painless, great deal.

Atech forum policy is NO COUPONS to be posted or solicted, so people should really stop the begging.

My only gripe, both of the rebates printed out as TWO pages instead of the ONE PAGE everything could have easily fit on.

Staples page with the drive showed delivery as 1 business day, but my order just placed for delivery in Socal is showing up as 5/20/03 (one week).

Since it is still only like 30 minutes old placed at 2 am PST on 5/14, I'll wait to see what day light and living humans do to it.

THere's a lot of HD'ers in SoCal, I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a week. I'm at my place in the country all this week, one business day for me. Sometimes it's nice to be the only one in a square mile on the internet

Ordered successfully this AM.

My take on the dual rebates is that they are the same, but someone made a mistake on their end. Both rebates are for purchases made at Staples only. Perhaps someone goofed on the offer number printed on the MIR available at the Maxtor site. Still, I'm hoping they'll honor both rebates.

I called Staples and they said both rebates are valid. The rep asked me to mail a copy to Staples and the Original UPC to Maxtor.

To be sure I emailed customer service at www.staplesrebates.com and within a few mins I got a reply confirming I can mail a copy to either. I am going to mail a printout of the reply along with the rebate

RebatesHQ only has 3 or 4 PO Boxes in Miami that I am aware of, so that's no indicator. It looks like these dual rebates are good. Like I said before, Staples has done this before.

The dept codes are different 03-57312 and 03-57316. This is the mail I got from the rebate center
