The political process is clumsy and scary enough, but when we are reminded that living amongst us are people who are so stupid they can't fill out a ballot, well, I'd say it's time to call ROD SERLING!

I happen to agree with this. This recount takes a lot of time and will leave a bad taste in everybody's mouth. A runoff like Georgia would have settled this by now and without controversy.

In terms of a run off election to settle the Minnesota race, get over it, that is not the way the Minnesota State Constitution was written long before any of were born.

As for any charges Franken is stealing the election, its seems to me that those charges should be either shown to be true, or its just more FUD. This free floating
GOP doubt is just bullshit given the scrutiny this election is receiving.

How can we trust the democrat party? When left to its own devices you guys start selling political seats to the highest bidder.

How can we trust the GOP, left to their own devices, those guys start wars based on packs of lies, are totally inept in running anything, and they ended up bankrupting the entire country while running up huge deficits.

How quick the republirats are to condemn Blogojevich, the guy is not even indicted yet, but after the fact of conviction, GWB has already issued a pardon to Scooter Fibby and God only knows how many international war criminals and domestic crooks GWB will pardon before he slinks out of office in less than 30 days.

Not saying the dems are total angels either, but just in terms of recent corruption, for every democrat convicted, something like 30 republirats are already in jail and another 60 should be jailed.

This is way too funny a response. The GOP required democrat approval for their plans because they never held as much power as the democrats will in under a month. That said lets not toss around the govern speech again. Michigan is a complete mess run by a democrat. Look at most large urban areas. Complete messes, all run by a democrats.

I'd like to see your proof on that last claim. I am looking at the most recent set of crooks.

Stevens - R
Rangel - D
Jefferson - D
Blago- D

Are you telling us there are 90 republicans awaiting trial or in jail somewhere with another 180 that should be?

btw since you dont live in MN please kindly stfu about a runoff wish. Don Vito and I unlike you actually live in this wonderful state. Apparently we both agree a runoff is a better option than this courtroom drama.

While it'd be all nice and coozy if there was a run-off election this simply isn't reality and to make matters more clear Minnesota decided to put into State Law that elections are that are this close must have a recount.

Let's just be happy Hilary didn't get nominated and cause a close national election and let the process in Minnesota go on - it's what the state wanted after all.

Well Genx, if you believe there is some special validity to the fact that "Don Vito and I unlike you actually live in this wonderful state. Apparently we both agree a runoff is a better option than this courtroom drama.", then you both had your chance to change the State constitution before the fact. Meanwhile you have to follow what the State Constitution says is the mandated process. So quit your bitching but meanwhile you two can help in any efforts to amend the Minnesota constitution so you can have a runoff election next time issues like this arise.

But you get no argument from me on the wonders of Minnesota, I was born there, and still own some property there.

But if you wish for some more more recent repubs, try Cunningham, Ken lay, Tom Delay, Ney, Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney Scooter Libby, Wolfawotz, Feith, Boehner, Gonzales, GWB, Ex Gov. of Illinois Ryan, and that is just a partial list. And when the dems get into executive branch files, I have little doubt your 180 will be better identified. And besides, your listing of Rangel is dubious at best. Taking a different interpretation than the IRS is not a crime, and the tax is now paid. As for Jefferson and Blago, they have yet to go to trial, and in the case of both Jefferson and Blago, the evidence may be so sloppily collected that its inadmissible in a court of law. But thankfully the voters finally removed Jefferson and and Illinois democrats are moving, as we speak, to remove Blago. But getting rid of Blago may depend on the
Federal government republican officials being willing to share the evidence.

So you add in people whom you dont like their policies? What kind of game are you playing loose with the facts with? Typical blathering by a lefty who builds a dream world for himself. Actually tries to justify his idiotic comment about 30 republicans for each democrat and remains oblivilous to democrat failures, defending them to the end lmao.

Did you really just defend blago?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

LOL!

Blago is out. they been investigating him for years. EVERY report i have seen/heard report taht they did a very good job with getting evidance on him. the guy is going down.

i doubt blago will be there for more then 3 months. hell even a month.

only reason he is still acting as governor is he don't give a shit and thinks he will get more if he stays in power.

Well speak of the devil, the Federal prosecutor has basically slammed the door on any quick impeachment efforts by the Illinois legislature.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/200...e_us/illinois_governor

Even as a somewhat partisan dem, I hope Blogo gets the boot, but now its likely to take three months or longer.

Meanwhile there are questions on how to fill the various Illinois vacancies to the US congress and Senate.
