DDR3 1066 Prototype

I believe that is thier plan. DDR3 or XDR. Either way DDR2 would be a mistake. Overall DDR2 still has higher latency and costs more.

Higher latency compared to what? We don't have any of the specs on DDR3 other than that Samsung's prototype can do 1066Mbit/sec per chip. Who knows, latencies could be even worse with DDR3 than DDR2, so it's a bit premature to be pushing DDR3 when we know nothing about it.

Really nice, but does anyone know of any chipsets that support DDR3? And does anyone know the price?

.....Lots of chipsets and CPU's supports prototype memory

more than likely DDR2 will come down in price (right now DDR is all the rage so be patient) as for DDR3 until MB manufacturers start supporting it (at least for now not going to happen) people will continue use (DYI only please) DDR as for the rest of the dude your getting a dell crowd whatever that computer company supports thats what you will get.
