Higher latency compared to what? We don't have any of the specs on DDR3 other than that Samsung's prototype can do 1066Mbit/sec per chip. Who knows, latencies could be even worse with DDR3 than DDR2, so it's a bit premature to be pushing DDR3 when we know nothing about it.Originally posted by: ribbon13
I believe that is thier plan. DDR3 or XDR. Either way DDR2 would be a mistake. Overall DDR2 still has higher latency and costs more.
