Thunder burger is only one location. You might be thinking of Five Guys, which originated ner DC (in Alexandria) and also has locations all over DC.

There are several giant beer halls in DC, including RFD (regional food and drink) and Biergarten Haus. Both are ok, but to be honest I would skip them and head to Rustico in alexandria/crystal city. That place has HUGE beer selection and truly awesome food.

i went to biergarten haus a few months ago and i wasn't that impressed with the place. it's also in a pretty crappy area and parking was a pain in the ass and had to park far then walk in some shady ass areas to get to the place.

Batman's pretty good, though I've heard a lot of people recommend Green Lantern too

lol is it sad that was my first thoughts too? sigh

but both are good. Green lantern picked it up during the color wars.

also does the 4 seasons have a pool on the top level? and i remember having to cross the street to get to the hotel.

this was all from spring of 2001 so now might be different. was also the last time i flew.

Yeah I've eaten here before. Food is good. Bar and beer selection is muy bueno.

Good recommendations in here. Think we'll head up there to check out Rasika and Churchkey (sounds awesome). Possibly Ceiba..... We never go into the city any more. Just for special occasions which is quite predictable and boring TBH.

Churchkey, Rustico, and BlueJacket are all owned by the same group. Churchkey is my favorite among the three.

If you like beer and weather is good, check out the Dacha beer garden on 7th/Q NW. A few blocks from where I live.

i would also recommend Cava to eat, but the one in DC isn't as good as the original one that is in rockville/gaithersburg. it's still good but just not as good. the original one is one of my wifes and my favorite restaurants in the area.

yeah, matchbox is in a great location too. a lot of bars/lounges to go to right around it, or catch a caps/wizards game.
