Another good example is Marvel's Agents of Shield.

I've got all of this season on my DVR but I'm not falling over myself to watch it.

Perhaps I'm simply finished with all of the superhero movie syndrome.

If you enjoy it then by all means please watch it. I'm just a jaded nobody.

Ok, I understand what you are saying. But should I need to have watched two shows that are arguably not that high quality to understand another show that isn't that high quality also?
i'm not busting anyone's chops here. I'm simply saying that the show is another DC failure.

Define high quality as both shows have gotten very good ratings on about all the sites out there and decent ratings especially for a channel like cw.

I'm simply saying that I'm not fond of either show. Perhaps using the phrase "high quality" was over the top. I mean we are talking about comic based shows here. Not that they can't be better than the general fodder that we have to deal with on regular basis on TV.

I have not watched the CW shows so I cannot give a personal opinion. I'm not a DC fan so I don't know the canon.

So should I have watched both Arrow and The Flash from the beginning to have even an inkling of opinion?

Yeah, the show is kinda dumb. They could have froze him and stored him away till Hawk Girl was ready to stab him. They could have even shot him into the sun. Instead they just leave him. And they still didn't even get the damn knife. lol

In episode 2 she was down but not out, and they knocked out Savage. They could just have her hold on to the knife while pushing it through his heart.

Third episode annoyed me too, both the bad guys and the good guys just won't shut up explaining plans to eachother, and indeed they should have dismembered him, encased each part in steel to restrict movement, put each one in a block of concrete, and then drop off the torso in the Mariana Trech, the arms in the Karachay lake, the legs down a volcano, and shoot the head towards Jupiter. That should buy you at least several decades, especially starting in '75 (as his followers at that time didn't yet have the tech to locate him nor to retrieve the pieces).
Travel 20 years in the future, see who is trying to recover stuff from those places, and nuke them.

Or, seeing that he is immortal but not invulnerable, doesn't have super strength or flight or anything, you could simply load the body onto the shuttle and program that to fly towards Jupiter or the sun with the whole body. I'd not risk the sun seeing that destroying the body might cause him to be reborn, but if he revives in the same body then being stuck on Jupiter would mean he wouldn't be able to get off the planet the first few hundred years at least.

It depends if you want to know who is who kinda.

For the characters you have white canary and the scientist that shrinks are from the arrow.

The guys with the freeze and flame gun and the two that combine into firestorm are from the flash but they are minor characters compared to the ones in the arrow when they were around so you really only need to watch 3-4 episodes for those.

And for the hawk twins they started on the flash but there was a crossover in both shows that had them in it.

Unless you watch those other 2 shows you will have issues as there is a lot of information about them you will miss otherwise.

The problem is if don't like those 2 shows I doubt you will care for this show either.

Thanks Newbian, i appreciate your response.

I like certain shows (i.e. Gotham) that others just can't stand so perhaps I came off a tad bit too strong in regards to this one.

As a relative newcomer to the universe that they are painting I'm simply not engaged nor am I really interested. I would like to be but I simply am not. But if you are then I hope that you enjoy good sir.

Thanks again for the clarifications.

I've been missing a lot of the story since it's now one of the numerous shows that I just watch in the background for distraction. I suppose that will eventually come back to bite me but that's what I have you guys for. 😀

It's something you see with a lot of series, and especially with superhero series, that they have crappy decisions or endings in episodes simply because they need it to make more episodes.

That's also my problem with Supergirl. I started watching it, and then right away you get the group of superbaddies, and instead of attacking as a group to finish her off and win they attack one by one so it can be dragged out for a while, and she in return doesn't call Superman or whoever else for help but fights alone so it lasts longer. Even the A-Team had better fighting logic.

Worst of all is, if they just showed Atom going into Hawk girl's body, and he had issues that he had to get out right away...
Well, can't he do the same thing to Savage, enter his nose/ear, go up to his brain, and just enlarge inside him every time them meet him? Savage wouldn't know about Atom...

Bah.

All we need is 1 superhero show that isn't dumbed down, and actually has a solid story behind it.

The problem is atom isn't a killer and it only takes one time for savage to figure it out as we saw when the old guy mention "this era" as he is brilliant.

But Atom wouldn't be a killer, since he can't kill savage.
Only Hawkgirl can do that.. so, he is free & clear to go into his head and rearrange his brilliance into lots of gibs.

The problem is would his suit even be able to handle it as parts of him were falling off during a fight so it probably would fall apart while expanding. 😉

And why didn't Sara take out the guards taking Stein to the room? Then he could have run toward Firestorm...
Heck, Hunter didn't shoot savage yet again, and Hawkgirl was right there to finish him off.

These scripts must be made for six year olds.
🙁
