Its so much of an improvement in almost all ways, and yet, people still find the need to b*tch about it.

The new version performs significantly worse, so if you had trouble running 3.1, forget about this one. Biggest complaint I heard so far. Impossible to play on a p500.

Hmm...I have a celeron 1000 with a gf3, but I'm gonna see if I can get half life installed again.

BTW anybody wanting this the top france server linked on the main site in downloads I'm getting 150k/sec from.

With that setup you'd prob have to set the detail at medium if you want 60fps. Its not that bad until you get into a firefight.

With my XP2000+, 9500Pro, 1024x768 with 2xAA, at high detail, I can barely get a solid 60fps at all, and it drops to about 30 in a firefight.

I'd say the engine runs about as well as MOHAA, maybe just a bit under UT2003. Certainly doesnt look like UT2003, so you've got to wonder.
