Is that healthy for her? to eat 3 hots dogs...
Does it matter?
People are WAY too concerned about their health.

I'm not talking about the nutritional aspect. I' mjust thinking of the physical size of 3 hot dogs with bun being stuffed into her stomach. Seems like alot of stuff to be packing in.
For many years my little sister (13 years younger than I) could eat twice as much as me in one sitting.

When a nearby gas station sold 4 chilidogs for $1(and this was in 1995, believe it or not...), I used to eat 8 a day.... I think I weighed like 25 lbs more back then too...

I did that once, then i got a concussion that day and threw up like 4 times. Couldn't eat a hot dog for 5 years after that. But now im back in the saddle baby 😀

At Weinershitzel they have $.25 hot-dog night on Wednesdays between 5-8PM. When I remember, I buy 20. I can finish it in two sittings, but then I'm off of hot-dogs for awhile. But then two Costco dogs are pushing it. In other words, depends on the dog!

Anyways, as long as she isn't eating 3 hot-dogs every night she'll be fine. Otherwise she'll hate you when she's older.

Well... Barney just ended.

The conversation in this thread and the fact that Barney is actually on in my house makes me realize how much your opinions on things change when you have kids.

My wife and I once said "there's no way Barney will ever be on in this house!" Now seeing that she's absorbed GOOD THINGS from watching it, I turn it on, zone it out and let her enjoy. As annoying to adults as it may be.

So the kid eats hot dogs, watches Barney. What the heck is next? 🙂
Used condoms in the trash can. :Q

I have to wonder if they fed her at day care. She just killed off three Hebrew Nationals like they were nothing. And she's small for her age! (under 50% percentile.)

I remember when I could eat alot.

More than 10 years ago, yakko and I would go mountain biking and we'd EACH finish off a whole Gumby's pizza after the ride! I can't even eat half a pizza now and if I do, I gain 5 pounds!!! 😱 😱 😱

*sigh* Metabolism.

hahaha thats awesome. i have seen my 3 year old pack away some food and its really amazing to watch.... there is something intrinsically pleasing to see your child eat big every now and then.

the other night my kid had a pretty big dinner, and he talked some sherbet out of his granny who loaded up an adult size bowl... i would of put money on him not being able to eat and I would of lost that money.

😎

the only time i saw my kids eat like pigs is when they are going through a growing spurt. it last for a week or so and im fricken broke because its like feeding an army. then its over and they bearly eat enough food to where im wondering how they are even alive.

Heh...you just summed up my thoughts on parenthood. My six-month-old loves Barney (He doesn't understand it yet, I'm sure) but he'll sit for almost an hour in his little chair watching Barney tapes because he apparently likes the music and the singing. There was a time when I thought Barney was the devil; now I love the purple freak because he buys me and my wife time to have breakfast or whatever we need to do while the kid's occupied with watching Barney. Not to mention he'll absorb something good from it eventually....

I have three kids here are my observations about Toddler eating habits.

1) They will occasionally refuse absolutely everything for no apparent reason (unless it's candy of course, and sometimes even that)
2) It takes about 20 times of eating something before it becomes acceptable and isn't met with an ugly expression
3) Sometimes they pack it away to make up for the last three weeks of refusing everything but Cheerios.

I'm sure she's fine, if she eats a balanced diet on a monthly basis it'll all work out. No sense trying for a balanced meal every time... You'll just drive yourself nuts and make her miserable.

Spot on.
My 18 month old has pack away 2 hotdogs in a sitting. Once nearly an entire box of Mac n' Cheese by herself too. But then sometimes she wont eat anythign for week.

My 3yr old? He just doesnt eat period. Hasn't for about 2yrs. But hes perfectly healthy height/weight and energy. Kids know what they are doing.
