Damn I jus luv Nascar~ yessir!

I dislike motorsports period because it just seems so ungodly wasteful. Such huge amounts of rubber, fuel, and metal are wasted in such a frivolous thing. Not to mention money!

Motorsports are important because the technological advances can be used in production vehicles to increase power, fuel economy, safety, etc.

if I see one more commercial for espn's movie 3 about dale earnhart ... GRRRR :|

they had to do it, nascar is THE most popular spectator event/sport (whatever you wanna call it). and ESPN just took the HUGE rating possibility and ran with it. hell, any smart broadcasting company should have.

I don't know man. I just can't live without NASCAR. It's the best thing since steamed rice. I even have an official NASCAR jacket used in film production. I just love watching them go round n round real fast n real furious and one time I went to see Daytona Beach Winston Cup which was right next to my school, I nearly got killed by some locals. I don't know why but they didn't like me. Kept looking at me all funny although one guy asked me if I knew my math real good cuz I'm asian. I said "sure am good at math, 2+2=22" and the dude gave me a beer although it was a Bud Light. Cool guy though. I loved his hairstyle.

I've always thought that a NASCAR based theme resturant would do real well in Japan. Given the Japanese fascination with things American such cars , food , culture. Beside there is nothing more thrilling than watching a pack of cars go 3 wide in a turn racing for the lead.
All you naysayers are just Nancy/Soccer boys anyway. Yeah yeah F1 goes faster, but BFD. It aint always about FASTER.
Besides, to each his own, no?

<likes ALL motor sports, Drag Boats, Go Karts, NHRA, IROC, you name it. If it has a reciprocating engine in it, I LOVE IT.

Maybe they should run Japanese cars only!!!!!
"The Fuji Heavy Industries,Sony,Fujitsu,Advan,Yokahama,Toyo,TRD, Toyota was runnin reel good til we cut a tire and had to bring er in on the last lap"
Hahahaha

While it?s true F1 is the Pinnacle of Racing technology it?s probably one of the most boring to watch because the same team has dominated so long, now it?s just like watching a train go around the track. WRC is fun to watch for TV viewers but must be kind of boring for the fans at the track getting all those 2 second views of the cars. Some of the best racing I used to see was the Mickey Thompson Off-Road series they used to have Trucks, Buggies and Motorcycles races inside of stadiums, now that was fun to watch.

This being a Tech site I can understand the F1 fanbois coming out because of the cars. But you can be assured that NASCAR will for the foreseeable future be Number 1 in the US because 1) You can see the Whole race from your seat. 2) Most of the drivers are likeable guys who appreciate the fans. 3) Where else in the world are you going to see a guy with a big 3 shaved on his back.

I appreciate all forms of Auto racing and cars because they go fast, I don?t care if it?s in a circle, a strait line or Road Course. You all need to get out to a local Track and see some races it doesn?t matter what kind, just being out there smelling the burnt rubber and gas hearing the cars rumble it?s a blast.

🙂
