Damn..Excedrin REALLY works.

Took out a nasty headache in 5 minutes flat. Tylenol and others cannot compare. That's all.

Too true. I don't leave home without mine. If I don't get my Excedrin within the first fifteen minutes of a migraine starting, I'm done for.

Use the power of self-healing. Your mind is a marvelous thing. Free yourself from the reliance on drugs.

I agree on this however there are at times when you just don't have the time for it. Other than aspirin, I don't ever take drugs. Not even when I have a cold or flu. Headaches are just..BAD.

I wonder WTF it does to stop a headache, so strange.

I think it shuts down chemicals that react to signals sent by the brain to 'pain' areas or something to that effect. Wish I knew.

It's the caffeine. I don't know if it gets your blood moving faster, or what, but that's the kicker.

I don't think so as after I drink coffee, more than often enough I get a headache. It also accentuates existing headaches to the point where I feel like my head is about to explode. Too bad I LOVE coffee 🙁

What's wrong with drugs?

Better yet, prevent the headache from ever happening.

Everyone's different, I understand that. Just from my experience with a poor diet, I got headaches every other day. Now, I get them once every few months.

Yea, it goes in your stomach, but the only affect is on your headache, strange.

Like how much coffee? I'd bet you're getting a lot more than you'd get with Excedrin, past the point of diminishing returns.

I have no tolerance for caffeine at all. I avoid soft drinks most of the time. If I have a Coke after 4pm, I can't get to sleep before midnight, if not later.

Drugs are generally used to address symptoms of an ailment -- not for preventative measures. Symptoms are usually your body's way of signaling or fighting an irregularity in the system. Rather than shutting down your defense mechanisms, I feel you should try to determine the underlying cause of these reactions, and use your energy to accelerate the healing process.

Headaches, for example, can be caused by a wide array of problems. Taking an acetaminophen simply suppresses the enzymes that signal the pain to begin with. It does nothing to cure the actual ailment. What if the headache is the beginning of a cold? What if it's the result of too much stress? What if it's due to a tumor? Your headache disappears when you take the medicine, but the problem remains.

(Some medications, such as antihistamine are preventative in nature and these are more acceptable, especially since they stunt the improper physiological reactions by the body).

Exactly. So many billions of dollars would be saved if people took some responsibility for themselves and learned how to eat properly. Preventive medicine is so much more effective than using drugs to mask problems and potentially create more problems.
