i transfered some funds from my bank account like i usually do for eBay, typical transaction. almost a week later, this morning, i get an email saying my bank declined the transfer, and they charged my credit card account to cover my payment to the seller. not only that, they've locked my account until my bank notifies them removing the lock.

i called bank of america, and they said there were NO problems on their end. they'd already authorized the transfer, it's paypal's fault. the problem is, they can't even contact Paypal because all they list as contact information is an email, no phone number whatsoever. the BOFA clerk i talked to said they don't have an internet connection there and can't email them, they have to call them, that's how it works.

anyone have a phone number for paypal? this is the first time i've had a problem with them in over a year of being a member, but this is crap. the hassle of getting my account working, sorting it out with the bank, and praying that i didn't hit my credit limit on the credit card (if i did then i have to dispute the charges, argh).

Please feel free to PM me the information. As an FYI, the rejections occur because the bank notifies that they are rejecting it. If there were problems with the routing transit number,bank account number, or the name on the receiving account, then the bank may have rejected it. If this happens, your account may have been restricted as a fraud measure.

You can also find the customer service number by logging in on your account---go to the help/contact us section. The numbers given are based on your account type, which is why you need to log in to get it.
 
I just want to let you know, even though luckily I have never had to correspond with you, I appreciate your help on this forum..
 
Paypaldamon, is there anything i can do at all to resolve the issue? I'm not even sure wha the issue at hand IS, i just called bank of america again to confirm there's no problems on their end at all. they said there was no rejection and that paypal was free to take the money, in fact at that point they are obligated to release the money to paypal by law. i gave bank of america the number but they said they aren't allowed to make outgoing calls now (argh).
