rofl really? i missed that part:laugh:

TO went nowhere today, that was beautiful.. he had what, 2 receptions?

3 for 45 yards from a injury riddled secondary. 0 in the first half. Cowboys highest reciever was Glenn, 5 for 61. In comparison the Rookie Baskett had 3 for almost 2x(112) as many yards. Drew Bledsoe had 223 yards and 3 picks no tds. This is how Eagles games shoudl be played. Last year was a fluke.

Its that time of year...less than a week till football season starts!!! With that, here are my official predictions for the 2006 NFL Season:

NFC East
1. Dallas Cowboys - straight nasty all around
2. New York Giants - Tiki has to wear down some time
3. Washington Redskins - Brunell needs a new hip
4. Philadelphia Eagles - hahahahahaha...hold on...hahahahahaha

:thumbsup::roll:

hahaha! I really think had a bad experience or encounter here in the city. I don't know how anyone can have so much resentment for it.

Is there something you'd like to share with us Bleeko.

Wow I wonder if Bledsoe can even walk after this game? 7 sacks, 12 hits, 7 knockdowns. Jim Johnson is a defensive genius (as usual) for all the different blitzing schemes he threw at Dallas. Even when Bled-so-much knew the blitz was coming they could barely stop it.

And how about T-O bitching and whining more on the sidelines. And McNabb, a real man and leader with his picturesque throws (esp the amazing one to Baskett after avoiding the blitz), the frontrunner for the MVP. This has to rank as one of the most satisfying games ever as a Philly fan.

Too bad Deeko doesn't have money and couldn't bet, otherwise he'd be in the poor house by now.

And you're correct, I am always right.

You sure are.

Getting pass interference on the 4th and 18 isn't converting by playing good football.

that was a great pass. glenn almost caught it even with the interference

The problem is, Michael Lewis is fvcking terrible and should be benched.

He directly caused the loss against the giants, resulting in Kearse's season ending injury in an OT that shouldn't have been played, then almost let this huge game slip away.

So I'm sure all of us Dallas/Philly fans have been waiting for this date. As ATOT's resident NFL analyst, here is my in-depth analysis of the game.

When dallas has the ball:
The Dallas offense has a large number of weapons. With Lito Sheppard slowed by injury, look for Terry Glenn to have a field day. T.O. will be fired up and will make some catches, but you know the Eagles will roll plenty of coverage his way in attempt to ruin his homecoming. This leaves Glenn, an extremely dangerous receiver himself, with plenty of space. Plus, the Eagles linebackers aren't exactly known for their coverage ability, which opens up the middle of the field for TEs Jason Witten and Anthony Fasano. Trotter is a great run-stuffer, but with all the attention paid to the passing game, Julius Jones and Marion Barber should find a decent amount of running room. The only chance the Eagles have to stop them is for the front four to generate pressure on Bledsoe, and that offensive line has only allowed 3 sacks in 3 games.

When philly has the ball:
The Eagles offense is riddled with injury, and Dallas has an aggressive defense. Terrance Newman and Anthony Henry can more than handle Reggie Brown and Greg Lewis in man coverage, plus rookie FS Pat Watkins is having a nice season, which allows Dallas to drop Roy Williams into the box to cause trouble in the run and blitz. If Westbrook is limited, the pressue is on McNabb to find room, make plays with his feet, and look underneath for LJ Smith. If Stallworth and Westbrook are out, it will be a long day.

Final Score: Dallas 31, Philadelphia 13

Great call, except you got it backwards!

Didn't you also predict that Miami would be on top in the AFC East a few weeks ago too? Not exactly batting 1000 there are you? ;)

Rob Phillips, of DallasCowboys.com, reports Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb threw for 354 yards versus the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5, marking an all-time high of passing yards given up by the franchise. McNabb surpassed the previous record of 345 yards he had set in 2004.

Lets see...

I have 16 credits, one of which is a senior design project for the FAA. I work 32 hours a week at one job, and 10 hours a week at another. I'm an officer in an active fraternity. I'm the president of the volleyball team, which happened to be hosting a tournament yesterday that didn't get out until 9pm. Oh, and I actually have a social life. I apologize if I can't always be at ATOT's beck and call, if you'd checked my profile, my last login to the site was early yeseterday afternoon.

Now, to the game.

Dallas played like sh!t. Flozell Adams, supposedly the leader of the offensive line, was terrible. McBriar dropped a punt. Bledsoe made some TERRIBLE throws, some because of pressure, others because...well I don't know.

However, there is one player I blame for this loss - rookie FS Pat Watkins. He was directly accountable for the Baskett TD, the Brown TD, and the Smith catch to the 1 that let up a TD. That's 21 points on #25's shoulders. Like I said in my preview, he'd played uncharacteristly well for a rookie so far...well, he showed his greenness yesterday.

However, I can still take some positives from this game. Julius Jones still looked great, and assuming Bell doesn't have a great night against Baltimore tonight, will be leading the NFL in rushing yards/game, while sharing time, and playing 3 of his 4 games against good defenses. DeMarcus Ware is a beast. T.O., while being called a "non factor" by the sportswriters, was wide open down the field quite a few times, and Bledsoe either didn't look at him cuz he has a love affair with Glenn , or horribly underthrew him. The defense contained the run fairly well.

All in all, that was a poorly executed, sloppy game by Dallas, on the road in a hostile atmosphere. A loss is a loss, a bad game is a bad game, but I can at least take solace in that with all those negatives, Dallas was STILL one QB/TE miscommunication on the 5 away from overtime.

I am still confident that Dallas will win the division, and that they will beat the Eagles when they play on Christmas.

While it was not his best game, I certainly am not one to be calling for Tony Romo. That's just foolishness at this point.

As for my pregame analysis and how it was "wrong on all costs"...well, thats just not a true statement. I was correct about rolling coverage towards Owens, Dawkins + a corner were on him almost every play. Witten DID have a pretty nice day, although it could have beenbetter. Jones did find a lot of running room. Newman and Henry held their own in coverage, it was Watkins that let up big catches. The pressure WAS on McNabb to deliver, and he did. Sure, the final score was a bit off, but anyone that watchde the whole game knows it was a lot closer than the final score would indicate, and when you've got 5 turnovers while only generating 2...hey, sh!t happens.

See you on Christmas, the Eagles are known for booing Santa Claus, I'd be praying he brings you a victory, cuz vengence will be sweet.
