Joe & JD are very religious men who are 'new school' when it comes to alcohol sponsors and have said in the past that they will accept no money from them. And since Anheuser Busch has released their statement that they will be basically going wherever Jr. goes, it would put a kink in a possible union with JGR.

In this article, JD's statement regarding Jr. says alot as well.

He also wants to keep Budweiser as his primary sponsor, which likely would knock JGR out of the mix.

"Personally, it would be hard for us," said team president J.D. Gibbs, referring to the company's stance on companies that sell alcoholic beverages. "[Budweiser] is a great partner in the sport, but for us it would be tough."

Gibbs also said the organization isn't looking to expand to four teams next season, saying, "We know how hard it is to add a team and we're in no big hurry."

So while I would LOVE to see Dale Jr. at JGR, I think the likeliest landing spot will be at RCR.

I also wouldn't mind seeing him join with Hendrick. I do not watch NASCAR, but just to hear the outrage at Earnhardt and Gordon being teammates would be fantastic.

I understand that, but in one of the ESPN articles, they mentioned that with some tweaking, it could happen due to the fact that Gordon owns half of Johnson's ride (or something to that effect).

I doubt it. It's not the Drivers, it's the garage that's causing them not to qualify

Well I don't know how one can compare Nascar to F1 at all.

It is faster, more challenging (IMO), has more curves, more rules, better women ( ) and I'd say better atmosphere. As someone who doesn't watch NASCAR ever, F1 is boring. There is no excitement because there is no passing. If you are lucky in F1 you might see 3 in a race. What is the point in watching a race if the results look is the same as the starting positions?

You obviously haven't watched more than a few (2?) GPs

Does anybody remember when Bud was on the #25 car? Hendrick and Anhieser Busch had a sponsership deal before Jr.

Jr's best (and fastest) chance at winning a Cup title is with Hendricks right now. Something tells me he doesn't want to wait for that to happen with a "new" team (his own)or new car like he would get with the #33 RCR car.

Sorry, but Casey Mears would be the odd man out. The #25 team is good and had good races last year with Vickers in the car even though he thought he was getting the shaft. Now he's really getting it with Toyota.

Hendrick's has everything Jr. could want: money, resources, good teammates, and Chevy's. I couldn't imagine being Harvick's teammate.
