International doesn't mean big or influential.

I don't know what their international membership is, but if it's any more than just this woman and her husband it's too many.

I still prefer to ignore the crazies.

Do what you want... and I will do the same.

If you're going to call out one crazy, you should call out all of them, and if you're going to do that, you'll never get done.

I'll call out whichever crazies I want.

Fantastically idiotic. She and her ilk are the kinds of people that those of you who are religious should be shunning. They're the ones that give you a bad reputation.

Why? She is correct in what she said.

Here is the explanation why.

In her belief, she believes that when people sin as a group and God becomes displeased, that the group can bring unwanted harm even to those who have done no harm. Now thats what the bible teaches concerning sin and homosexuality is a sin according to scripture. You don't have to believe in the bible or like this woman's opinion, but her opinion is inline with what the bible teaches.

That priniciple by the way is not even just religous. We believe that the actions of many can affect even innocent people. Now the question is whether God or a god would or has punished others as whole because of the sins of a few. The bible tells of many accounts where this has happened. Its funny, you want everyone to embrace your homosexual belief which is about as flaky as 3 dollar bill, judge you fairly and not based solely on that. But reject someone who doesn't share the same viewpoint as you on this issue.

Then in total blabbering ignorance you call for religous folks to shun this woman who did nothing but spoke out loud what almost all who are the same faith as her believe.

Even within her wacky belief, DADT doesn't have anything to do with homosexual acts, so no.. repealing DADT is not akin to accepting homosexual activity.

Its funny, you want everyone to embrace your homosexual belief which is about as flaky as 3 dollar, judge you fairly and not based solely on that. But reject someone who doesn't share the same viewpoint as you on this issue.

What's funny is your stunning naivety regarding homosexuality in general and how it fits into my life in particular.

Then in total blabbering ignorance you call for religous folks to shun this woman who done nothing but spoke out loud what alomost all who are the same faith as her believe.

You're in no position to call out ignorance... since you're probably the most ignorant person on the subject of homosexuality that I've seen.

What this shows is how stupid modern people are-- they still believe in magic and witchcraft like our ancestors did thousands of years ago. Step back and think about it... The idea of a vengeful god wreaking havoc on innocent people is absurd.

Lol. Yesterday you called me a "bleeping looney", "whacked out" and "irrational". I responded in a courteous and logical manner to your accusations, thus proving them true apparently, since if I held even for a moment the belief you were capable of logical thought then I am clearly guilty of all you said about me.

I laugh at how stupid many of the comments are. You don't believe as she believes, but yet she is wrong and you are right. Says who? You?

Here is the reality. When you live an alternative lifestyle, you have to be willing to accept some people are not going to see it the way you do. Thats just life. When I got married I knew damn well there were going to be some who just didn't like the fact we were race mixing.

And you know what, that's okay. Some of those who don't like my marriage have been respectful and even helpful to me in other ways. Even one guy who totally was ignorant about it, but now he is rather cool. He says we haven't won him over, but he hangs out with me quite a bit. Not everyone is going to agree with how you live. That is life. But if you want others to respect your beliefs, you have to respect theirs. I didn't say you had to like it. :)

Yes she is wrong. Following a 2000 year old religion based on superstition and ignorance doesn't strike me as intelligent. That's why I can safely say you are a fucking idiot.

oh and I dont have to respect the christian religion. Stop trying to dictate policy and control over the rest of us and I may change my position.

I respect Buddhists because I don't see them interfering in public sector life.

I neither seek nor require anyone's acceptance or respect. I'll be damned, though, if I'm going to let their lack of acceptance or respect negatively impact my rights and freedoms under the law.

So... America sinning leads to other countries getting destroyed?

In that case, realpolitik demands we institute nation wide sodomy quotas immediately. It'll be our back door to maintaining superpower status.

As JSt0rm has pointed out less eloquently, the problem is that many of these religious types actively try to incorporate their beliefs into law. This right here is about DADT. Don't let gays serve in the military or else you'll invoke the wrath of God! That effects people who don't share her beliefs and so you damn well better believe that gives us the right to call into question those beliefs and their validity.

If her Lord is a wrathful Lord, then he is no Lord of mine. My Lord knows love and peace or he is no Lord at all.

If so, then your Lord is not the lord of the Abrahamic faith.

I do agree with you though, if there was a religious god who was peaceful i probably would not have turned my back on his teachings even if i didn't believe in him.

And when you have a darker skin colour you should be subjected to what Christians decided was 75% human? Prove them wrong!

I am your god, prove me wrong, go ahead and try, no matter what you say, i'll incorporate that into my godliness as the way i am, and don't ask me to prove anything, God doesn't prove anything, you just have to have faith in me.

(I think the OP just posted this to troll against religion)

Fern

The root of most of the animosity toward homosexuality is religion, so yes.. I will call out instances of their idiocy whenever I can. If you have a problem with that, hey, ban me.. otherwise, deal with it.
