Well, my 30GB 75GXP finally went to the crapper a couple of weeks ago and since then IBM has received my drive and sent a replacement. However, a big problem has occured in the midst of all this. The replacement drive was sent out on October 30 and I have yet to receive it. So, I just called IBM and the lady that answered the phone said that the drive was stuck in customs so I was like:
Me> Can you tell me where it was shipped from?
Her> It was shipped from Malaysia
Me> Do you have any idea how long it will be there?
Her> It was only suppose to be there a day or two
Me> Could I get the tracking number for it?
Her> No, it doesn't show up on the UPS website
Me> Well, thanks anyway, goodbye
So, what in the heck should i do? Can I do besides wait? I have RMA'ed four Maxtor HDD's within the past couple of months and have never had a problem. Replacement drives were in my hand within seven days after they received them. I will never, ever buy IBM again. :|
