BTW-I cannot wait until I am employed again. I have a backlog of donations to make for these folks in the Mod community.

My problem with Cyanogen was after exiting any program that was half way intensive, just about every widget would have to reload back on to the desktop. And it was sluggish or unresponsive for several seconds as well.
I could have been using chevyno1's kernels, which IIRC, weren't meant for Cyanogen.

I have that same problem with P3 kernal.

That's a because of the Launcher app, not the ROM. What launcher are you using? If it's ADW or LauncherPro, select the option to keep it in memory and it won't have to reload each time.

ADW with CM6.0x seems to get more sluggish with time, for some reason. It was almost unbearable tonight, ended up installing Launcher Pro. There are features I like from both, but I really miss ADW's hot bars. Keeps my home screens clean and several important apps at the ready.

If you swipe left and right on the bottom bar in Launcher Pro there are bars you can drop applications to etc. Unless you mean something else by hotbar.

Chromatic 4.1 is out now too. Its much better than plain Cyanogen IMHO.

Chromatic has been my favorite ROM for a while. Its for sure worth checking out if you run a myTouch/G1

I got the same exact issue with CM6+ADW. But it's not exclusive to CM6.0x, went to BB.04 then to LauncherPro. Snappy for about three days. Then the same happened. Went to shit. Went to ADW.Launcher, seems better...for now.

It seems any of these launchers go to shit after a few days, no matter what ROM.

It's not that it goes to shit after a few days, its more than likely that you run out of RAM so your launcher gets kicked out of memory and has to redraw it each time you go to your home screen. If you can, set your launcher to stay in memory.

ADW is slow period, I'm sticking with Launcher Pro (older version with less options/bloat I don't give a shit about)
