Congrats. :)

I dropped DirecTV last October, saving myself about $90/month, after I realized that I hadn't used DirecTV from mid-May to mid-August (the summer dry spell). I bought an HDHomeRun, put up an antenna, and installed MythTV on my HTPC. That gets me CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX, and PBS. I already subscribed to Netflix and Amazon Prime, so there's no cost increase or decrease there.

And for all of that, I might watch TV for a few hours per week, tops. At least I don't have any significant recurring expenses related to it anymore... "yay".

I don't watch sports, except for the Superbowl, and that's just for the advertising content. Loss of sports was wholly irrelevant for me.
