Greeting people. I do it all the time but might stop if it's going to get my face bashed in.Everyone is missing the other story.

Congratulations to Jacquetta Simmons. You let the entire world know what a loser you really are.

I'm glad I've never worked at a Walmart. Once you're there, people just treat you like animals.

She is just a Simply Appalling, Vicious, And Gross Entity.
People really can be downright evil these days.
The problem with thinking you're clever is when others are more clever than you. I'm pretty sure you were well aware of the "savages" sticky that was at the top of Off Topic for months. We'll be discussing the length of your vacation. -Admin DrPizza (edit: I didn't mean to give any credibility to this post being "clever" - it wasn't.)

I find it interesting that there are special laws for attacking someone over 65. Weird.
And Merry Christmas in jail skank!
not a nice thing to say to anyone, even if she is related to you.
Because some here believe they are too cool to be bothered with or showing their receipt to a walmart greeter is beneath them...
Or is it because they feel their rights (not sure which right this would be though) are being violated when someone asks for their receipt at Walmart...what a joke...
HAHA, wow. Apparently you have a very poor understanding of common law. If Wal-Mart invites you into their shop, they don't have the right to violate your privacy. You seem to think this falls under some sort of castle law - in that case, couldn't Wal Mart stab you and say it's fine because you were on their property?
If there's a contractual agreement that you will let them search you, then that's fine. But that would require explicit agreement of this BEFORE you entered the store. Having a sign somewhere near the door, or somewhere near the counter, doesn't constitute a contractual agreement.
America takes seriously its citizens' right to privacy perhaps more so than any other country - so it kind of disturbs me when people like you have no problem with this right being eroded upon by corporations.
It is a violation of my rights. Why is it such a joke? My contract with the store was completed when I paid at the register. Their rights as an entity end there. What's next, they can knock at my door and ask to see the receipt because they forgot to check it when I walked out their door?
Problem is they can't be sure you actually went through the register. IMHO the only solution to walmart is to exit you must go through the checkout and you must have at least one item. You are then taken via a cattle path directly to the exit.
It is a violation of my rights.
If they don't mark your receipt, many will not allow a return/exchange. You may not be obligated to allow it, but they can modify the terms of this contract such that you would best comply.
I am going to guess we are missing a part of the story like the older women blocked the other woman's way when she was leaving as I doubt she simply punched her right after saying that.
Last I checked but since you don't have to sign any agreement like they do in costco / sams club you don't have to show the person your receipts and many times they bar your way from leaving and gets the employees / store in trouble then.
You are correct. The 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees the people the right to be free from unreasonable receipt searches, the right of the people to keep and bear Chinese merchandise, and the right of the people to peaceably assemble at the Subway/Pizza Hut by the Walmart entrance.
A greeter asking to see a receipt is a clear violation of your inalienable rights. I'm going to PM you the contact info of this nation's leading Constitutional attorneys that would be happy to take this to the Supreme Court, pro bono of course. This type of basic human rights violation should not be tolerated! ¡Viva la Revolución!
