I just turned 30, so I've had a lot to think about recently. My dad has a full head of hair at 66, but my mom's side of the family had hair loss pretty early. I still feel like my hair is pretty thick with what I see on a daily basis, but I decided to see what my crown looked like today taking some pictures and was surprised at how it looked:

This is after a haircut, where the sides of my hair were cut with a "2.5" razor. So it's relatively short. Is the crown supposed to have a little bit of empty space because of the way the hair moves, especially with hair that short, or is this definitely beginning balding? Would just be good to know. I've never noticed any hair in my comb or anything.
