Tell us about the tribal doctrine of these tribes the trueths of there history as told by a non native of said tribe.
I could tell you about most of the Native American tribes in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, and how not a single one that I have come across recognized women with tribe leadership roles. Guaranteed not a single one had female leadership amongst the warriors, and I am 99% certain no female was a warrior in general.
Tribal leadership, as in the top leaders of the clans, no, not female. There may have been female spiritual leadership, but I haven't seen any recognized.
I wouldn't be able to tell you much about the history of the Yukon tribes, or any of the First Nations in Canada. But taking a not so wild guess, based on the knowledge of tribal structure of native peoples throughout South America and North America, throughout the current millennium, I would say there wasn't female leadership in the Yukon.
Granted, the Intuit people, and the various tribes in the most northern territories of North America... are tribes that in ways were quite different from the tribes south of them.
