lol i am sorry for doing that to youWho wants to play a shooter with no AIM-DOWN-SIGHT capabilities in this day and age. Pfft.
Kidding, I wouldn't mind getting a beta of this. Side story, a few buddies of mine were reminiscing about the old days of CS and how people are able to spray paint custom pictures. We had a good laugh about how because of CS that I was first exposed to fecal porn and Goatse guy.
I don't think it feels just like CSS. There are obvious similarities, but the guns are significantly different. The engine plays a huge, huge role in how an FPS 'feels'. If they used another engine you would immediately notice a total difference in the game play.
I am in the beta and it feels just like CS:S. It's a fun game, but I'm a little torn on it. Feels just like CS:S with a texture mod and smaller player counts. Kind of like, what is the point ? Is the feeling I get playing it.
The Source engine may be dated, but it's one of the best FPS engines for competitive play. The hit detection is better than most every other shooter out there. Looking squarely at BF3 when I say that, terrible hit detection and lag compensation in Frostbite 2.
August 15 I believe. When does it come out officially?
What he said ^Well CS itself was a popular mod made official, so that's not exactly a bad thing. All that matters is if it's fun.
