Crytek talks about Crysis 2 for the PC

No crysis 2 was the biggest lazy flop of all times.

Ranks even worse then dragon age 2.

They are trying to blame us ranting about the lack of DX10 and DX11 support saying its better optimized to run on crappier systems.

Then they are trying to coop a bs excuse saying by doing so it increases the multi player community.

Well, if the console community and PC community were merged, then yeah, id say its probably a better move to increase players.

However crytek didnt mention that the 2 game servers are always kept away from each other, so u cant really do multi player over cross platforms.

So its just them trying to pull whatever BS they can for all the real reasons we complain.

Until they give us DX10, and DX11, we wont be happy.
And crytek wont give us DX11, because once again, they feel we dont need it.. ie... there too lazy to develop it.

are you all patched up? It's really not a Crytek issue, it's a driver issue. There's not much Crytek can do as it's really the GPU's that work together. Have you tried removing one of them and just going single? Crysis 2 doesn't really need all that much power, amazingly. (gives Crytek a high 5)

Yep... all patched with the latest. I keep hearing different things. It's a driver issue or an app issue or both. Tried disabling crossfire, but since these are 5970 cards with 2 gpu's on board that really didn't help, but playing in a window works (which also disables crossfire) --- kind of a weird problem. In any event, it just doesn't feel smooth, sorta like it is microstuttering, something I am not really sensitive to in any other other game.
Just like the original Crysis I will probably have to wait to the next video card upgrade cycle and try the game with a single gpu setup. Really dissapointed as I was looking forward to this game, despite the mixed reviews/comments.

I don't believe that's accurate. PC gaming market was worth like $11billion last time I checked. Let's be honest, they went multi-platform to:

a) increase sales; and
b) Mitigate PC Piracy

which is fair enough - but not because the PC Gaming Market is too small. They made Crysis PC-only and Crytek didn't exactly go out of business.
um there are many multi platform games where around 90% of sales are on consoles. if I made games, I might not would even waste my time and resources making a pc version. in some cases it would probably be hard to even make much of a profit on the pc version when all is said and done. just think how much extra work and support is needed to properly do a pc version of a multi platform game.

nice troll.

I don't care if they used DX8. If it looks this pretty and runs this smooth, seriously, I don't care what tech they are using.

Your blind love for Crytek is getting fucking tiring. Somebody having a different opinion than yours doesn't make them a troll. Plus you just quoted a mod... so I'm not sure what you hoped to accomplish.

He said it was a lazy flop, and that's just not true. They put a lot of work in it.

So I assume you're another one of those whiny bitches who never actually played the game but bashes it anyway. For some reason Crysis 2 attracted a large number of your ilk.

And seriously, who gives a crap about DX11? This is what makes PC gamers the most annoying people ever. Seriously, you're going to whine about which API the programmers used in the graphics engine? Jesus Christ.

Quote: The PC market just does not support that cost of development, but going multiplatform does. The decision to go multiplatform has allowed us to bring a better game to everyone, which has been our goal all along.

No, your goal was to make as much money as possible. I am not saying the game is bad (I have not played it), or that this is neccessarily wrong, but dont try to sound so altrustic. Just admit that you went console first in order to make money.

Also, your statement that Crytek won't deliver DX11 is incorrect. This announcement came after that article, so you obviously aren't paying that close of attention.
