Love the demo. Can't wait to get this game.

I just used the default way, using the mouse wheel. You need to push it, maintain it pushed, and while you keep it pushed down you move the mouse very slightly to the direction corresponding to the ability you want to select, and once the pointer points at the desired ability on-screen you just remove your finger and it selects the ability.

Ok, installed Vista 64bit
Game ran poorly at 1680x1050 with all settings at very high.
So turned post processing to just high and all is well.
Vista 64 / Directx 10
768mb 8800GTX
e6600@ 3.6ghz
x-fi Xtreme music
All settings very high except post processing is only at high.

Not sure I like the heal system. Obviously a rip off from cod2/cod4 (which I did not like) but at least in this game they make it logical.
overall the ai seemed weak (per fuzzywuzzy post) but the cut in videos were smooth. I wonder how long the sp campaign is - it was fairly long in farcry. Hopefully the ai will be a bit crisper in hte final version but doubt it given how close we are to release date.

Just played the Crysis demo and can't get the game to run well over medium settings. My basic specs are: Opteron 170 OC @2.3, x1800xt 512, 2G ram. Seems it should run at least on high, and the game looks bad without high settings or DX10. I was looking foward all year for this. Anyone else having similar components and running it fine on high?

10 hours for the average game was what I read not long ago (source: http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2...s_release_announced/1).
I just played through it without firing a single bullet. I had this great moment at the check point that Prophet tells you to blow up with grenades.
I snuck up right to the check point barbed wire with cloaking enabled and then recharged behind a rock on the right side. I then crawled right through the front opening, but one of the guards half-detected me (it's cool how they still indirectly sense you if you're too brash or careless with cloaking enabled) and I froze. The guard would not give up and holster his weapon so I stood up, decloaked into speed mode, and ran like hell.
Good times.
I have really come to appreciate the cloak mode. It has the highest utility when you've been detected and you need to hide in plain sight and get the NKs off of your trail. If you sit still you can remain cloaked for a long time. I just wish there were a more effective melee weapon to sneak up on people with for the kill.
