Crysis single player demo

It's a 1.1GB for the demo and 700MB for the editor or so.. finally got on the DLmanager

Haven't played HG:L past the horrible SP demo, but that's not looking good either.

The Crysis MP Beta is fun, but its a bit simplistic in some ways. It reminds me of Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising. But in a good way; I loved that game (at least, the demo - played it to death). The vehicles feel kinda crappy, but they might change that. And it runs like crap. But it looks nice!

yes: they've had tons of time to optimize

no: SP areas are probably significantly larger than the MP level.

Heh, I guess not to many pre-ordered it. I honestly didn't know you allready could, although it makes sense. And I didn't know you would get this demo 1 day early, so I guess many other people didn't know either, even if they have pre-ordered. And no reason for myself to pre-order if I'm getting it for free anyways 😛

Well, that depends on two things. What video quality options are available in the demo, and how the demo runs compared to the retail game.

I am not upgrading my system until I see some concrete benchies of the retail game. Although I do see a Q6600 in my future. 😀

I hope it runs smooth tbh, because otherwise I'm going to have to make some sacrifices so I can afford a q6600 🙁 Meaning I have to do easy, yet boring work on saturday's with hot chicks that usually are allready taken 🙁 Upgrading the videocard is not really an option though, although 320mb vram might not cut it at 1680*1050 🙁 Oh man, I've got to keep my hopes up 😛
