I have an 3770K @4.6Ghz, 16GB RAM, GTX 680 and GTX 460 (physX), and I've resorted to playing on High with SMAA 2X. Its around 60-70fps. When the frame rate is low in this game its unbearable. Since I really dont see that much of a difference between High and Very High, and combinations of High and Very High, I might as well go for frame rate.

If this was an open world game and had some longevity, I would consider a second 680. But at the reported 6 or so hours of play time, its not worth it.

How is TXAA quality in Crysis 3 ? Improved from what we've seen so far ? (Black Ops 2, AC3 etc) or is it the same TXAA ?

Just played in 3D and I have to say, wow, that is really amazing. The game gets the same FPS with 3D as it does without which is great. I am at a stage where im getting 30-45fps so that sucks, but it looks incredible.

You can't run this on very high with a 680? I don't know about some of these posts; it is my opinion that Nvidia and crytek are trying to make you buy the most expensive cards. I have one gtx 560, and I'm running everything on high with no problem. Apart from that first mission, but I'm not the only one with a problem there. As there is very little visual difference between high and very high(that I can see), I'd just as soon keep that 400$...
But anyway, just my opinion. Also, I don't think this game looks as realistic as Crysis 1. Sure, the lighting's spectacularly cinematic. And sometimes this lighting makes it look more realistic, such as in the sewer portion of the game. But what I'm annoyed by is the trend now for ultra dark shadows and super saturated colors. When you're out in broad daylight, there aren't going to be any really dark shadows.
And in Crysis 1, during the daytime, the colors are all really washed out-despite not looking as pretty, far more realistic. But overall a good game, just not to be compared to the first one.

It's most likely the same as in blackops2 and without SSAO.

The thing is that in Crysis3 it simply does wonders to temporal aliasing that is very evident in indoor scenes. (due to the high contrast metallic surfaces and spot lights.)

Well, temporal aliasing was horrible in Crysis 2 as well. SGSSAA was the only solution to this in Crysis 2. The problem was that SGSSAA did not go with DX11. :(

I haven't tried Crysis 3, yet. But I'm guessing the same goes in terms of SGSSAA & DX11 compatibility. At least, we have TXAA in Crysis 3 which should be very effective for removing aliasing.

However, if TXAA in Crysis 3 is about the same as what I saw in Black Ops 2 in terms of quality, I don't think I'll be using it because it blurs a bit too aggressively for my liking.

Anyway, I can't wait to play it with Titan SLI.

Did anyone make a SweetFX profile specifically for Crysis 3 yet ?

Google found only one settings-file, for the MP beta. I didn't like that one. Most settings I've seen for SweetFX and ENB-series for other games, make the dark areas too dark. I've used jim2point0's lighter settings for Dishonored and I really liked those. He didn't publish his Crysis 3 settings (yet). I could spend a few hours trying to tweak my own SweetFX settings for Crysis 3, but if someone else has already done the work ....
