There was talk about Crysis 3's multiplayer not exhibiting the full potential of the game and being underwhelming because it was not single player game play. I took some shots now using my computer. Game looks fantastic and is a good improvement over Crysis 2. Looks really good. Just a few pictures from my system.

Look at these screens of characters up close.

Those are awesome. Is that second guy http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0631490/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1 ?

Agreed. What about the optimism about the new Alien's Colonial Marine game? Sadly, but not surprising, it looks amateur compared to this.

That game was horrible. Thankfully I didn't buy it after seeing the console gameplay and then finding out it was a straight port to PC.

not bad. I don't think screenshots do justice. After uploading my BF3 screenshots it's really nothing like in game.

I don't like that crossbow though. Lame.

I have read the campaign can be finished in 5 hours on normal. Is that true? The multiplayer community wasn't very strong for Crysis in the past so I dunno if it's worth $60.

I dunno, it looks pretty good to me. Crysis 2 looked pretty good once it got the hi res textures and DX11 patch too, but it didn't change the fact that Crysis 2 was simply a terrible game, a shell of the former Crysis games.

The screenshots look good, but nothing that justifies the hype the engine has received. Still I'd say a fair bit better than the beta.

Yeah those character shots and the second four I posted are doing the game justice. It looks good to me. Wish AMD would send out the fecking keys for the promo.

Mother of god... looks AWESOME

Keep in mind that this is not still-nature from HL2 and everything is animated,
that blurry vegetation actually looks worse on stills.

Feel that light re(fra)flecting from moving water, and know that this is going to look even better in-game

ENB can makes games such as Skyrim look that good. What Crysis has a leg up on though are effects that you can't appreciate from static screenshots... fresnel, caustics, and ripples from water, animation fluidity, destructible effects, etc. This is where the engine really takes off, and I don't care about Crysis so much as games that'll utilize the engine (Star Citizen anyone?)

What exactly is unimpressive?

If you ignore the side missions and try to get through as fast as possible, yeah, you can do it in under 5 hours. Disappointing, but their campaigns have never been "long". They've tried to breathe life into the MP, we'll see if it survives. They really need the new AC system to be up to par, the last one sucked.

how come all these screenshots are normal size but photobucket makes in 1024x768 when it's suppose to be my native 1680x1050?

I am in the process of switching to Flickr, because of this.

They also have a nice IOS app.

You can u/l and link to full resolution. I am still learning the PC interface, and have to link out to all sizes, but it's all there.

so it's permanent? they shrink all uploads? I looked in settings but I saw nothing...

Had a photobucket since 2003 it use to be the best. way better than imageshack.

I noticed uploading on it is so slow now.

I was using imgur for a while but images kept disappearing.

So flickr is a good choice?

Are you using the beta version? I couldn't find a way to customize my upload so it would reduce my PNG files. I went back to he old version.

You can also use programs like SkyDrive to host images, I found it harder to get a link, but it works fine as a host.

how do I go back to the classic view? I never chose to be in any beta? Is this like the stupid gmail change where they force you to use the new theme and don't tell you? There is no little cog wheel like in gmail to set to classic.

Agreed about crysis 2, definitely waiting to see before buying C3.

It would be silly to say it doesn't look good, because it actually looks great. Its just that it doesn't have the impact that original crysis had, and i'm not sure what it would take to deliver such an impact again.

It does look great. My concern is that the gameplay is as bad as crysis 2, which was a definite letdown in comparison to crysis 1 and warhead. Crysis 2 did look great though with the DX11 stuff.

So what i'm saying here, moonbogg, is that you need to be our guinea pig. Buy crysis 3 and do a single player playthrough in 1 sitting and report back :p
