Just doesn't feel smooth to me.. guess from this thread it's the it's the 30fps lock.

Did you turn off vSync? It was causing my game to be sluggish. Turned it off and it was fine.

Game is similar to Crysis 2, but the setting/environment feels totally different. Once I got out into the city and saw all the foliage, it honestly felt more like Crysis 1. The 'fields' map is pretty huge and open.

Game looks great too.

Now that I've dug into the game, they've totally gone back to Crysis 1 style game play. The tank map is amazing. Some of these maps are huge and the 3d modeling of some of the structures is insane. serious amounts of work.

Yeah, vsynch was causing most of my slowdown issues too. Not much tearing with it disabled anyway so I'm not sure why the default is enabled in the first place.

I'm running with everything on high except water and shadows, no AA, and very high textures. Frames mostly stay above 60 with dips into the 40s on occasion. That's a single oc'ed 670.

As for game play, the voice acting is not my favorite. The One or whatever he is sounds constipated like Christian bale. Other than that, the game is gorgeous.

Is it just me, or is the IA kinda retarded? What difficulty are you guys playing on? The level after you blow up the dam, two guys were standing next to each other and one threw a grenade. It hit a pole DIRECTLY in front of him and bounced to his feet. Both dudes just stood there and waited for it to explode. DURRRR

I remember trying Crysis 1 and not liking the suit mechanics. It seems a lot more refined and easier to deal with on the fly.

Final note, how gay is the "hacking" mechanic? The idea is cool, but execution seems kinda dumb to me.

Have the game, enjoying it, but I'm spending most of my time just staring awestruck at grass, so it's probably going to take me 17 years to complete. Running at Very High (max) everything with 4x SMAA on a GTX 680. It is gorgeous, and smooth enough to enjoy (although if FRAPS were working for me, I'm sure I'd be shocked at how low my FPS was; it's still playable in singleplayer, but in multi, I'd get destroyed). As far as the plot goes, it always irks me a bit when they try to set up these "one man to save the world" plotlines. I mean, OK, I'm a badass who's been given a badass suit so I'm basically badass squared, the most dangerous man on the planet... But is it necessary to hinge the survival of the entire human race on my success? That's more than I want to deal with in a video game, frankly. It just makes everything unnecessarily stressful.

I honestly have never seen a better looking video game straight out of the box. With mods, you can make some other games look pretty damn good... and I think this still trumps them. There are the occasional textures that make me think, "ewww, they could have done better than that," but that's more than balanced out by the textures that irritate my fiancee because I wake her up to have her stare at a piece of floor tile and wonder why she isn't marveling at it agape in the same manner I have been for the past five minutes. Even if the game wasn't good, it's almost worth it as a $60 tech demo to impress the friends, and frankly, I've had a great time with it so far (which as near as I can tell is not very far into the game).

So, yeah, I'm suitably impressed.

Turning Vsync off fixed most of the issues for me too. With it on the game was on a seesaw. With it off, it is for the most part buttery smooth with everything turned up except AA.

So...I'm playing on Veteran, trying to do stealth. I take someone out with the bow, and it seems like the other enemies magically go on high alert. Like shoot someone on the second level, and a guy on the first level has to "check it out" wtf?
