Relax. railven has a valid argument and is making valid points as well. At worst, they're talking past each other. They both have opinions and in this case they are both correct in a lot of what they're saying.

Btw, at least if BF3 is terrible for some reason (hopefully not), at least we can always watch the 12-minute trailer and reminisce about when we thought it would 0wn. ;)

The Battlefield series has an awesome multiplayer. So even if the graphics don't live up to the hype it still has value. Cryfail has a 16 player maximum bug filled multiplayer that no one plays. Big difference.

PC players ~2.7M, Xbox ~3M, PS3 ~2.4M.

Not as blockbuster as CoD, but CoD has a console cult following. It's like dumb down FPS for console gamers and i think the average console gamer would struggle with BF. :D

I think this time, BF3 will have much better sales for a few reasons:
1. A lot better marketting. BC2 was hardly advertised. We're seeing BF3 ads on TV, in cinemas etc.
2. Hype and anticipation. With devs stating building the game ground up for the PC and pushing hardware limits, you can bet every PC game will be interested already. If they can deliver on the hype, it will be massive.

I have to turn off Crossfire on my 6970s because it's actually better with a single card. 95% of the time it's 60+ fps on extreme and drops down to the mid 40s occasionally, whereas with CF it averages in the 50s and drops down to mid 30s on more than a few occasions.

The Way It's Meant to Be Played indeed.
