Yeah, just tried to let my son try it. No go.

I'm not playing this game on European servers anymore. So if there is no North American servers (like last time I went in) forget it.

Same, just got home. Checked myCrysis.com, and the site says down for maintenance for a few hours...hopefully removing auto aim lol.
 
My favorite part is chatting away, since servers simply dont seem to start the game.

I must've wasted 15-20 min just finding a EUROPEAN server stuck on the chat screen.

Can you cancel preorders at direct2drive?

With this abomination I would not be surprised if DX11 support ends up being DLC.
 
Finally in, got some playtime. Game runs smooth in hardcore @ 1080p.

Maybe CryE3 was more about smoothing out performance than bumping up the graphics? or maybe its just the consolization kicking in?

Did anyone watch that corny movie at the intro? You can tell it's designed for Crysis newbs/consoles.

Wow, game is actually not so bad. You can clearly see it borrow elements from CoD...BUT, the graphics complement it very well.

Yea it's fun, but auto-aim is just wtf.

With it on, I'm usually most kills in the round and 3:1 or better K/D.

With it off it can be a struggle to even go 1:1, you just get dropped instantly unless you're playing against complete noobs.

I don't like it. Graphics are not good and gameplay sucks as it's just spray your gun to kill. Too much CoD. Run spray, run spray, run spray, run spray.

Same here, I don't preorder ANY game. I don't care if it sells 1 billion copies.

Demo >read reviews> wait out > maybe buy

Certainly not buying Crysis 2 though.
 
Just as I predicted, the game sucks. Well, I sorta found this out already when I tried the 360 demo. Maybe singlepayer will be good, but I find that highly unlikely.

I don't see any reason to ever pre-order a game. Just walk into any store on launch day and buy the game.

I know a Halo fan who preordered Halo 3 from Gamestop's website and he did not get the game until several days after the release date. He could of just walked into any store and bought the game on day 1. lawl.
 
This made a huge improvement to gameplay for me.

Add this to end of the target line of a shortcut to crysis2demo.exe

+cl_fov=85 +r_DrawNearFoV = 85 +pl_movement.power_sprint_targetFov = 85 +r_MotionBlur=0 +g_skipIntro=1

fixes FOV, removes the blur and gets rid of the forced intro on load. The game is much more enjoyable without the insane blur.

I doubt he could've walked into a store, Halo 3 sold an INSANE amount of copies on day one. Held the record til black ops came around.
