The demo doesn't allow any shader model past DX9, correct? Crysis using DX9 didn't look particularly amazing, either.

Well auto-aim officially ruins MP.

Played for a while with it off doing pretty well. Then this guy came on and started owning me. Could tell from the death-cam it shows you he had it on, xhair never left the player model. So I turned it on for one round and we went even, and I got the most kills of any round I'd played.

Hopefully there will be servers that force it to be disabled, otherwise this game requires little skill with a mouse, get your xhair in the vicinity and you're locked on target. Pathetic, just pathetic for a game on PC.

Crysis isn't a game, it's a tech demo. You don't play it, you just run around and "ooh" and "ahh" at the scenery that's chugging by at 12fps.

Edit: OP, misleading title. Change it to say multiplayer demo. This demo is useless to me.

Sorry to turn this into a console vs PC debate but I'm glad some of these companies are concentrating on consoles. It leaves room for devs like CDProjekt to come along and steal some sales. No way I'm going to buy Crysis 2 except maybe from the bargain bin, but I've already gone and preordered Witcher 2. Crytek ain't getting my money any time soon. I'm not really a MP kinda guy so all these COD, BFx, etc. games are pointless for me. I hope I don't have to eat my words with Witcher 2. 😀

Crysis 2 is only out as a demo. Compare the original Crysis demo to the Crysis 2 demo rather than comparing a demo to a full game.

Damn, their registration server is getting hammered. After downloading and installing the game, it wasn't able to create an account, so I went to mycrysis.com and tried to do it that way. When I fill out the info, it keeps timing out or losing connection. What a bummer.

The Crysis 1 demo had all the settings with DX10 and GPU/CPU benchmarks, and it didnt have "aim assist"

So the Crysis 1 demo had the same graphics that the full game had? Not saying you are wrong but I would be surprised if that was the case.

man i miss the days of having HIGH anticipation for games(see HL2 and Doom 3). i stayed up until 4am on a school night to download HL2 off of steam. not one game has made me shit my pants since then.
