Personally I think it was a dirty trick. Probably by Bush. They have a lot experience at that sort of stuff.

Ad was called Conservatives Anonymous. Amy Lindsay responded to a casting call. The campaign didn't know she was a porn star and got the job. Lindsay has starred in features like Deviant Whores, Carnal Wishes and MILF.

They made the 30 second spot, as no one recognized her. At some point someone did. Then they yanked the commercial before it was released. Probably a few on Cruz's staff were hoping that someone would speak up. Whoever that was, is probably at confession today. 😀

If it was the Clinton campaign, someone would have recognized her right off the bat, so to speak.

What's wrong with being a pron star? Honest living between consenting adults. A naked body isn't the end of the world.
 
Cruz had a pretty hilarious anti-Hillary ad that spoofed the movie office space, too lazy to find it. I don't know why he's doing anti-hillary ad's when he's fighting the other republicans though, i don't think it even mentioned Cruz in the ad.

An actress blacklisted for attempting to get away from porn and into other roles? Seems petty and mean on the part of the Cruz campaign.

My thoughts exactly. It's a problem for Cruz because he's campaigning on the "values" and evangelicals platform, but honestly I don't have any issue with having her in your ad, she's not doing anything illegal.
 
For a man that considers America the last of his priorities(Canadian, Christian, American) just his style. Natural born Canadian.

You're right. I'm sure the Clinton campaign will hire her. Maybe Bill himself will produce the commercial.

This is a stupid assumption.

Cruz campaign hired a Company to do an add for them.
The contracted company makes a casting call and hires the actors.
The contracted company makes the video with the actors they hired.
When approved by the campaign the video gets on the air.

Cruz and his said campaign had nothing to do with the casting etc.

I personally don't have an issue with the lady at all. Who cares what she did in her younger life.

Not a Cruz supporter but nothing wrong happened here. I do find it funny that this drama came because of Cruz's base.

I have no issue with her either. Personally I find the situation laughable, and that is why I started the thread. But just because you have a different take on how it all went down, doesn't make my assumption stupid. Remember she contacted them. So she either did it because she wanted work, she supports Cruz or someone put her up to it, knowing the implications. This stuff goes on in politics all the time. If you don't know this, then believe me when I tell you, it does.
 
I would think the real question might be which campaign has people sifting through all the details of such stuff to uncover any such thing to embarrass other candidates.
