Jbmitt:
This memory should be fine on any mobo that supports Athlon. Just go to the Crucial webpage and click of the brand of your mobo and then click on your mobo model. It will then direct you to the memory that's compatible with your board. More than likely, this memory will show up
as the one you need.

Has anyone been able to get into the Crucial webpage today? If I try to go to the tracking portion I get a screen saying page not found to try crucial.com. But if I click on that link I get a box saying "You are not authorized etc." I am trying to track an order which should have already been here, but have never been able to locate -- and now can't even get into their site.

Is it worth it to sell my 128MB infineon CAS2 PC133 and get 256MB of this? (I paid $150 for it in October!)

Weird it looks like we both did the same thing back in October. I paid $145 for 128MB Crucial CAS2 PC133, I'm going to sell it and bought two of these 256MB's.

Which OS are you running? If you're running Windows 2000 Pro or have intentions on doing so then I would definitely get one of these. You can't beat the price plus FREE SHIPPING!

I was complaining about the "second day air" shipping because an order placed on the morning of the 13th was showing expected delivery on the 19th. Turns out shipping is just fine, tracking isn't. The memory arrived this morning.

Geez Gus, it's FREE shipping. Who cares if it takes a few extra days. Looks like UPS screwed up on this one and not Crucial.

EDIT: Glad it worked out Gus. I just got my 512MB today.
Funny, looks like I'm going to get the lousy shipping deal from staples.com. Ordered a hard drive early this morning that had 1 day shipping . My scheduled shipping date is 2/23, next Friday - one week. :Q

Gustavus-

I ordered two sticks of 256mb Cas2 (thank you Mr. Mastercard -- buy now, pay later and hope the price doesn't drop much!)... it shipped three hours after I placed the order. I can't complain about the shipping... and if UPS delays it while in transit, that is hardly Micron's fault. Some people in the other thread have gotten it within 24 hours of placing their order! Granted, they aren't up to Outpost.com's old standard (order at 6pm pacific and get it at 9am pacific!!!), but hey!

Thanks to all who made my wallet much thinner :)

One thing, granted it is free so I should not complain, but If I order the RAM on the 13th, I would expect it on the 15th. Its not realy 2 day air if it does not get shipped till the 15th. Now I have to deal with the weekend and will not get the RAM until the 19th. My 2 dy air is now 6 day air. :(

Just order 2 sticks. One for me and one for the Wife. Was $90.29 with the 15% off. Dang Washington state sales tax was $15.64 though.

Oh well, 512mg for the same price as I paid for 128mg of mushkin 4 months ago. :D

Thanks for the deal everyone...

I agree with Lanyap, except for the "are we having a bad hair day" crack because I just shampoo'd, conditioned and styled my hair so I dunno what he's talking about ;)

I would rather wait a few days and get free shipping than pay $6 to have it here in 2 days. Unless it's critical that you have the RAM in 2 days then don't worry it'll get to you eventually. Just be glad that it's a small lightweight package of RAM which is harder for UPS to play soccer with. I think they prefer monitors, hehe.

I ordered 2 sticks on the 12th, and after there was a price drop, I called in for price adjustment, they refused. So I asked them for an RMA instead, will be refusing the shipment later. Will then order again in a few days at the new price.

Cool my 512MB RAM arrived today also, pretty sweet deal for only $172.79.

Now I have two 128MB PC133 that I have to use in a later system or auction off.

<< to Rossman, dcdomain & others....no, the ebates.com + crucial 15% off webpromo page DOES NOT WORK!

This is because ebates.com is ONLY authorized the get credit for sales that go through the standard 10% off page www.crucial.com . When you purchase from the webpromo page it doesn't track the ebates affiliate cookie and ebates doesn't get credit!!!
>>

Oh really? I did not use the "two windows method" with both Ebates and the Crucial webpromo sites open. I just shopped as normal, but when I clicked on the Crucial link from Ebates, it still came up as $90.94 on the Crucial site. Weird. I guess I had a "leftover" cookie ;) Wonder if this screwed up the Ebate cookie?
