Follow these steps:
1) Are you a member of eBates.com? If yes then proceed to step 2. If no then signup for free. Remember to make your username and password something you can remember and/or write it down.
2) Go here http://www.crucial.com/webpromo/ click the blue Go! button, no organization name is needed.
3) Find your RAM and add it to your cart, consider buying 2 256MB's for $172.79 since the prices are so rock bottom low.

Read some posts in the first thread to get an idea of what to type. The reason some people are seeing it for 96 instead of 90 is because they are logging in with their accounts that they setup. When logging in, they verify that you are NOT eligible for the 15% off and are given the standard 10%. So, after clicking on the secure checkout button, do NOT sign in as a member. Choose the not a member option. If you signed in as a member, go clear those tasty cookies (give them to oscar the grouch in the trash can) and repeat process except do NOT sign in as a member.

Hope this clears some confusion.

This information is offered only to clear any existing confusion, not for people that are ineligible for the deal to get the additional 5% off.

Rossman: Where do you get the $86.39 price, it is $90.94. If you are including the &quot;Ebate&quot; in your price, you probably ought to note this in your post or the title. Otherwise someone may go ballistic on you (like when people don't note in a thread title that a MIR is part of a deal).

I actually saw on TV this morning what looked like a well-made national Crucial commercial that showed their webpage and someone selecting ram and then later a woman popping it in her computer. Very unusual and surprising to see.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but unless you are overclocking you wouldn't notice any difference in performance between the CAS2 and CAS3, right?

Cwand: you are wrong. CAS2 ram can move data 1 clock cycle faster than CAS3. This may not mean much to most, but to any tweaker this is a huge gain. My best guess is that performance will increase 10-20% with CAS2.

RAM's latency does not only increase your speed if you overclock, the CAS timings are 2 cycles instead of 3, essentially allowing your RAM to process instructions more quickly. I notice several differences, especially in program loading (even more so on bootup) at cas2.

eBates -- do you guys get what this is about? You know it is illegal for a retailer (in this case our RAM seller) to use your sale information against their &quot;privacy policy&quot; -- but there are ways around that. eBates is one around it ! They give kickbacks to the &quot;rebate places&quot; that DO NOT HAVE TO PROTECT YOUR PRIVACY if you read their terms.

So, for 5% you are giving away all your payment/address/whatever information. Yes, there are ways around it, but I just don't like to do business that way.

nope, this doesn't work. Since ebates.com is an affiliate of Crucial they are only allowed to link to www.crucial.com and NOT the webpromo page. The webpromo page clears out all affiliate cookies. So this means that you will get the 15% off but no credit through ebates.com, sorry.

odd, when i search for my motherboard, ASUS P3B-F, the best memoery it has is 128MB PC133 cas 2 and 256MB PC100 cas 2.

Does anyone know whether or not my MB supports 256MB PC133...why is it not in the list if it is supported?

Man... you peeps gotta read more thoroughly. You can get the ebates 5% AND the 15% promo. Follow the directions. You basically open both pages up, add the ram from the 15% promo... then go back to the ebates window and complete the order...

And even though I'm on a T1, having to click page 4 (50 posts per page) after opening the thread is a pain... I'm a lazy SOB, so thanks Rossman for starting another thread...

I came across the same issue you've described re the P3B-F listings with a different MB that indicated 128 PC133 CL2 was &quot;ok&quot; and 256 PC100 CL2 was &quot;ok&quot;...but not listed was 256 PC133 CL2. I was turned over to a tech-expert and chatted online with &quot;Michael&quot; regarding the issue, and he said &quot;it's a glitch&quot; in the tables...that the 256 PC133 CL2 would be compatibile with the MB in question. I suspect the same response would apply to the P3B-F (and many other MBs in the tables).
