We have a rule in Denmark that CRT's used on work should atleast be able to run at 75Hz preferably 85Hz, but there still people who claim not to notice the difference between 60 and 85Hz.

Exactly what I was going to say. I have a Viewsonic Professional Series. I wouldn't trade it for any LCD because anything 22" will have ghosting like mad.

Gamerz will prefer CRT's for many years to come I think.

Oh and did I mention, LCD's are notoriously unreliable compared to CRT's? Just wait a few more years. :)

How much does that weigh and how much desk space does it take up? ;)

HahahHAha, actually I think they have 6. But none of them are Doom, HL, or Quake in relation.

It's only about ~65lbs...not a problem for me really. It's not like I move it all the time anyhow. I often find it funny when people talk about the weight of a good CRT like they are carrying it all the time. Most people put it down, and it stays there.

As for space, I've got plenty, and it's no deeper than my 19" AG CRT was...

That reminds me, I need to haul the 300lb diamondtron down here and hook it up to a video card that can do more than 640x480. Honestly, that monitor KICKS, if it weren't so fvcking immobile.

Mine's a 27", by the way.

I use both CRTs and TFTs on a regular basis, (both types of monitor, every day) and I must say, for the most part, TFTs are easier on the eyes, take up less space, and really are no worse in any aspect I am concerned about.

I would like to see more specialist ranges of TFT with higher resolution laptop style panels, etc, though.

Don't you find 100Hz blurry?
