CRT sucks

DaWhim

Lifer
I am doing my work in the computer lab. the monitor seriously sucks. I can tell it is 15" dell with 60hz.

my eyes got spoiled by LCD too long ago. even before I got my first LCD, I needed at least 75hz to be comfortable.

I am getting headache....:|

All CRT's do not suck...in fact even the best LCD's can't match the high end CRT's yet.

<--22" NEC Diamondtron @ 1600 x 1200 @ 100hz @ home.

Gaming @ 2048 x 1536 @ 85hz is nice too...

Licks dual 30" Cinema Displays and G5 Dual 2.5 w/ 2GB RAM, 6800 Ultra DDL.
Meanwhile your wallet is dieing.

edit: yea 60hz should be banned, my school library computers are at least 75hz though, we have a decent IT department.

FIXED 😉

Think about it . . . they're Apple products . . . they cost a lot, plus he's going to spend tons of money to get the next revision (200 more MHz) 😛

I have a 19" CRT and it's beautiful at 80hz. Your topic title is flawed in it is a sweeping statement on all CRTs. However, I'm guessing you made it that way to lure more people into the thread, so  for you 😉

It's been a while since I've seen 60Hz crt's in operation. Seems like most setup folks have a little more clue than, say, 5 years ago when it was common place for this to happen. Also helps that lcd panels are out there a whole lot more.
