I just killed off the Flash plugin in Mozilla/Phoenix and then visited the download Flash page. Instead of auto installing, it'll d/l this file
Not sure if it'll work for IE or not.

Q. What is Flash?

It is also the reason why some of the sites (e.g mazdausa.comcan show 360 deg. view of their models) can make a really good presentation of their content. However, what about users who are visually impaired OR the ones (like me) who prefer to use text-based browsers?? Flash can also be used to make stand-alone installers. The best one Ic an remember is the instaaller for a cd burnign software called B's Recorder gold that came with my 48X Sony CDRW. (dunno is its shipped with other models also)

With IE, if you go to Tools, Internet Options, Settings, View Objects, and right-click on the Flash Object (earlier version of 6 anyway...), there's an Update feature that worked fine for me (even if I did still have to reboot). -kd5-
