I have seen many storms like that here over the last 20 years.

I remember one coming towards my home and all you could see at ground level was a wall of hail.

One rolled in from the north with almost no warning. It looked to be about 10 miles away and it hit us in less than 10 mins. Not sure what it was, but it was like a mini hurricane.

Or that nasty one where I got hit by lightning.

Meh, I have seen worse. I grew up under constant tornado warnings and have been pounded by hurricanes multiple times (including Katrina).

One of the best memories of weather:
We (all my brothers and I) were working down in the lower field, 600 feet from the house. here comes this singular black cloud and when we finally notice it and start running, it is too late.
We were totally soaked and laughing our collective asses off, standing on the back porch and watching the daylight lightning. As quick as it came it was over the ridge and gone.

Awesome. I've actually seen many storms like that in the midwest. They look like just a wall of black coming at you. Scary.
