Pretty awesome... The way the city lights show in the distance is really interesting too, and gives you an idea of how ridiculously big the pyramids are

One of the greatest mysteries for me... People like to joke about the aliens thing, but if you think about it seriously, how in the hell did they build them? Its not just the sheer size but the mathematical precision as well... I saw a documentary not long ago on youtube showing how they follow the golden number perfectly etc, its mind blowing

people are smart when they try hard

IIRC, the climbing the pyramids was forbidden not due to preservation, but safety issues.

This is what I was assuming. Actually allowing climbs would mean driving pitons into the side of the pyramids. I'm guessing they don't want that.

Solution: build a cheap tower near the pyramids that's the same height. Like a big bungee jump. There you go. Same view, you can enforce whatever safety standards are needed, and then you can jump off of it.

That's probably an aesthetics issue.

Doesn't seem like the smartest thing to do, given the state of Egyptian prisons.

If they find a way to keep doing this without getting caught and charge other people to go with them, and teach those people how to not get caught so they can also charge their friends to be brought, would it be considered a pyramid scheme?

1. Coming down i most probably would die.
2. The thought of what the nuts in the muslim brotherhood when they caught me would scare me from even trying it.

Geez look at all the vandalism carvings where he's sitting. What a shame. No wonder it's such a steep sentence if you get caught.

Awesome photo though. But I see why they don't let people up there. To many people ruin things for others.
