eharmony?

and we come to another issue...women...i need one...

i did do the free thing at eharmony but they couldn't find a match for me in the entire world.
i have tried other sites as well, but never get any contacts and if i make the first contact, they never respond or say they aren't interested.

Are you at all surprised. I haven't met you in person but from what you've told us of yourself in your 20k + postings......I can't recall a single quality about you that anyone would find remotely attractive. So you can do as others have said before.......improve yourself and your circumstances or continue you to whine and post here looking for pity.

no, i was actually surprised it took you so long to post it.

i'm not posting looking for pity. i'm trying to start discussion because bored.

Spend your bored time searching for a place you can volunteer...a soup kitchen, reading to the elderly anything........that would be better use of your time than your pity me, whiney postings.

really? what is it, some kind of store or something?

Not A store, THE store. Wegman's is the single greatest grocery store chain ever. Bar none. I will fight anyone who says otherwise. Anyone who's ever been to one will back up my claim.

Oooh. The pyonir thread. Can I rent a little corner from you and set up shop? I want to open a "hackneyed insults" thrift store.

That was the same thing I thought until I hit up my first Wegman's in Cornell. It's tough to explain, you'd just have to go in one to understand.

Iceberg, I'm by no means a fan of Pontifex. He gives as good here, so he should be able to take it back. Still though, when you hit a slump like this it's easier said than done to "Snap out of it and make it better.".

OP, we all hit slumps. Me personally I usually go through something similar once a year or so, but it's self induced. I reach a point where I'm SICK of human interaction and I just withdraw. Don't feel like talking to friends, don't feel like going out, don't feel like putting in work on a relationship or tail chasing.

You gotta change your patterns somehow. Do the fight club thing and just start showing up to random support groups. I actually thought about doing this last night as I took my son to the local church for his cub scout meeting. In the room next door was a support group meeting of some kind (couldn't figure out what). There were a few smoking hot girls in there. Aptly enough I was in a church at the time I prayed it was a sex addicts support group, but knowing my luck it's "living with herpes" or some crap like that.

Either way no one here's gonna help you by doing this for you. You gotta take care of yourself.

Hmmm...i'll have to check the adoption papers to make sure renting out little corners is legal. If it's not legal...we may need to be "off the books".

Go to a coffee shop and sit around looking for people who are also sitting around looking for people. Don't complain, if it bothers you so much, you'll leave your protective introverted shell and just strike up conversations with people. It's not that hard, and coffee is comforting, too.

oh, and right now's probably not the best time to be out meeting people since I can't talk properly because of the surgery I had on my mouth.

Come down to Toronto and I'll be your friend for $500/day.

Just to clarify, I don't mean friend as in sonz70. I don't swing that way.

it is the greatest. hands down.

pontifex, you sound like you are on the boat to Depression Island. :(

may i suggest you join a gym, get involved in an organization, do some volunteer work.

you need to be doing something besides work and the internet or else you are going to feel isolated and lonely... like you do.
