Ruby Bridges? I looked into it and as far as I see, they're trying to cancel that book because there's no "redemption" at the end, so maybe it seems too grim to teach children. I'm not sure. I don't think it should be cancelled though. The truth is the truth. If anything, wait until children are older to show them that book.

Want some positive history Republicans managed to fuck up? One of the most meaningful pieces of legislation was the 65 Voting Rights Act. It would not have passed without Republicans in the Senate at the time. In 2004 Republicans voted unanimously to re-authorize. Today, it would get ZERO votes.
