Seems like a great price to me, in for one. Thanks OP.

It's a super deal. I have a couple of vacuums, no names picked up at Home Depot for about the same money. This beats the crap out of them. It will swallow them whole. 😀

Good deal. I ordered one for pick-up, but turned out the store in Concord had plenty of them on the sales floor anyway, and this was on Saturday. Just the size I was looking for--Thanks OP!

lol. I did trip at first. I looked for them in the box. Not that you can hide them in there. And I figured they could only be in one place else. Sure enough, in the vacuum canister.

I gotta wonder about Sears. I ordered one, then another the next day (I don't want to lug one up and down stairs and figure I want two). I got emails saying both were ready for pickup. Momentarily, I got a call from a woman Sears employee saying they had 4 and a floor sample and didn't have enough for my promised two. She said I could pick up one and she was "pretty sure" she could find one to send to me UPS, no charge. If she couldn't find it, she would call me. That was last Saturday, 6 days ago. Yesterday she calls me and says they've gotten some and I can come in a pick mine up. I decided not to tell her she'd promised free shipment and said I'd pick it up and she said "you have 3 weeks."

I decide to waste no time and I bike over there, about 5 miles each way. It takes almost 5 minutes and a woman comes back with the box, which is pretty badly misshapen. It had been mishandled, maybe some heavy stuff stacked on top, whatever. I asked if I could get one with a better box (I intend to keep it in the box, actually doing some DIY work and adding handles), and she says they're all about that bad. I look it over and decide to ask her to try to find a better one. She takes it back and comes back with one in much better shape, but it's still not too good. I thank them and take it home.

I'm right now trying to straighten out the cardboard box, using plastic, tape and wet sponges to moisten the cardboard and then I'll apply clamps until the cardboard dries out again.

It seems to me that this is not a very good way to treat their customers. Yes, it's a discounted item (very much so), but IMO this is damaged merchandise and should not be represented otherwise.

Must be a gift for someone else? I hope.

I wanted a couple of these. If someone went overboard and bought too many. I would be very interesting in taking two of them off your hands. Message me. Thanks.

Yeah, I know, it was kinda dumb. But the project is in full swing and there's nothing to do now but wait until it all dries out and I take the clamps off. Fact is I now realize there's no real good reason to keep it all in a box if you don't mind it living outside the box.

Edit: However, the box turned out nice and straightened out. Not sure I'll use it now, though.

Sears keeps giving me automated phone calls to go pick up the wet/dry vac, BUT I'VE ALREADY PICKED IT UP! :| The message says the order will be cancelled in one week. Should I just ignore it?
