He talked about haswell and "4570k"... So yea. Please start reading... o_O

Torn Mind... It will not die soon, Steamroller will be out on AM3+ socket and Excavator will be also on AM3+, maybe they make AM3++ socket because of DDR4 even thought DDR3 will still fine.

Kaveri will support onboard GDDR5 or DDR3/DDR3L depending on what motherboard you choose most likely or it will support both.

DDR4 will be expensive when it launches, it will be affordable maybe in 2-3 years when it become's a standard for all newer PC's...

New memory controller has resulted in a new incompatible socket every time. Sometimes the hardware is just that inflexible.

@vampirr

I'm talking about the fact that AMD is forced to lower 8350 price when 4570k comes out, since 4570k coming out will at least slightly lower prices on 3570k.

Intel has demonstrated that it will launch cards at the same binned speed at the same price between generations and there is no reasons to believe they won't do the same with haswell.

Therefore, 8350 will be cheaper when Haswell comes out.
Therefore, OP should buy a new video cards before getting 8350.

Its basic economics.
